Vehicle Detail

1975 Chevy K-5 Blazer 4x4 Convertible Up for sale is a great survivor, numbers matching 1975 Chevrolet K-5 Blazer Custom Deluxe 4X4 (1/2 Ton) with 350c.i. Quadra-jet Engine, an NP203 transfer case, an automatic transmission and 49,178 original miles. This is the last year that the removable top goes all the way to the windshield. I believe I am the second real owner of this truck. I bought it in 2001 from a local used car lot in Lexington, KY. The owner of the car lot told me that a retired couple purchased it new in 1975 to tow a small camper. The husband passed away in 1979 and it stayed in their garage until the wife passed away in 1999. The owner of the car lot stated he purchased it from the estate sale and I subsequently purchased it from him. It had 32, 000 miles on it when I bought it in 2001 for $10,000.00 and I drove it as a daily driver from 2001 to 2005 when I deployed to Iraq. After I returned from Iraq, I had some body work, all metal replacement panels, and a new paint job, (original color code base coat/ clear coat) done to freshen her up a bit. GOOD It has a Rhino Liner spray-in bed liner from the firewall back and over the bedrails and a STC soft top (Specialty Tops of Colorado / formerly Kayline) - original factory hard top also goes with sale. It has great original interior with custom made desert-camo seat covers to protect the stock brown hounds-tooth vinyl. It has a factory padded roll-bar behind the front seats. It has the factory rubber floor covering that’s still in great shape. Exterior and underneath are nice and rust free as well. It has a Rough Country 4 inch suspension lift (front spring and rear blocks) and a urethane body mount kit. It has a Reese hitch and is wired for towing a trailer. It has a MileMarker two-wheel-drive conversion kit installed in the transfer case and Warn lock-out hubs. It has a brand new set of Mickey Thompson Classic 15 inch wheels wrapped in a brand new set of 33 inch BF Goodrich T/A KO tires. It has a brand new 33 inch matching spare on a steel rally wheel and the original factory spare is still mounted in the truck. Recent body work consists of new front fenders, lower outer door skins, inner and outer rocker panels, new bed sides and a period correct pickup truck tailgate. I have the original fenders and roll-up window tailgate to go with the truck as well as the original set of rally wheels. I also have all the original suspension hardware that goes with the truck in case the buyer wishes to set it back to the original ride height as well as a brand new in the box set of stainless steel brake lines from LMC. It has a factory hand throttle under the dash for the PTO on the transfer case. BAD The factory air needs to be recharged and probably needs a couple O-rings replaced. All parts are still in place, I just unplugged the wire from the compressor when it ran low on freon after I put the soft top on. The brown dash pad has a crack, from age, in the center at the speaker where all old Chevys crack. I have a NOS, period correct, dash pad in grey that would need to be dyed the correct color, that will go with the truck. This truck is very close to original and all the parts are with it if you wish to put it back to stock. This is a great survivor truck and runs and drives great. It would be a great truck for a period movie or country music video. I have this truck listed on other sites and reserve the right to cancel the auction if it sells locally. You can email me at mdt561@yahoo.com. On Jun-09-13 at 03:01:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had some emails regarding the show quality of this truck. While this truck is a head turner, due to it's rarity and soft top, this is not a trailer queen show truck. It has had some parts replaced and a clear coat paint job, but it has not been restored. You can see from the engine bay photos that the assembly marks are still on the firewall. It is a driver and probably has more value being as close to original as it is than if it were frame-off restored. Thanks for the emails and Happy Bidding.
