This is the auction-style listing for this car. If you prefer to buy-it-now or to make a best offer, please visit item # 300929875136, here is the link for it FYI, Kelley Blue Book good to very good private party value is $34,500Here is the Kelley Blue Book report for the car BEAUTIFUL 2003 PORSCHE, VERY RARE TARGA TIPTRONIC WITH 78K MILES MIDNIGHT BLUE WITH BLACK INTERIOR, GT2 LOOK BODYKIT, 18-INCH WHEELS. WATER-COOLED 3.6L FLAT 6, 996 VERSION OF THE 911. 100% eBAY SELLER SINCE 2001!! VIN WP0BA29933S635063 Any questions? Please call or text 650-897-3030. Car is available starting July 27. Never been smoked in, immaculate interior! The 911 Targa is a very rare "niche car," that combines the best of both worlds: a 16.6 square foot sliding glass sunroof giving the open-air feel of a cabrio convertible combined with the full security & rigity of a real coupe. Tipronic / automatic 5-speed with + / - shifter buttons on left & right steering wheel spokes. Further customized with a GT2-look body kit, tinted windows (not too dark), and 1200 watt stereo system with a custom-fabricated subwoofer enclosure, truly a unique car! GT2 front bumper upgraded with OEM Porsche LED turn signals (this pair of OEM LED signals alone costs $850!) $90,000 original MSRP, before all these custom features! For sale by owner, not a dealer. I've owned the car for 2.5 years & been very good about maintenance & repairs. I take it to the excellent Flintworks independent Porsche shop in Campbell, CA. I've been religious about fixing any mechanical issues. It runs completely perfectly, has had the 75K recommended service and will pass all inspections with flying colors! THE TARGA TOP: Car & Driver calls the 911 Targa "the easiest way of having a near-cabrio experience while retaining full coupe convenience and security." Good Feb 2002 Car & Driver review of this model here: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/porsche-911-targa-first-drive-review Body is based on the Carrera Coupe, which is stiffer & stronger than the convertible Cabriolet Targa top is 16.6 square feet of glass, much more than any 911 coupe sunroof The top can be operated immediately while driving at any speed - no need to pull over to swing the top down! The roof slides back by nearly 20 inches, giving a total open area almost twice that of the Carrera Coupe's sunroof Made of the same pre-tensioned laminated safety glass as the windshield, with additional UV tinting When open, a front-edge wind deflector automatically tilts up, reducing noise & turbulence to levels similar to the Coupe's open sunroof, but the "open air effect" is much better - much quieter than an open Cabriolet, especially appreciated by passengers in the rear! In terms of cost of ownership, a Porsche corporate service manager has told me that the 996 is the ideal generation to own for a used 911 - all the parts are completely readily available (easier to find & cheaper than "air cooled" 993 parts), and it is overall less complex and "fiddly" than more recent generations of the 911 (997 and 991 models). The 3.6L DOHC 6-cylinder 315 HP engine with Tiptronic automatic transmission performs flawlessly & is also quite reasonable on gas mileage - it's EPA MPG rated at 16 city/24 hwy, but I've found that it's possible to even achieve 30MPG with conservative highway driving! Condition notes: the GT2-look fiberglas body kit is in need of cosmetic repair in a few places near the front wheels. Also, the car has been rented on two separate "one off" occasions as a weekend car share to extremely conscientious folks - I can provide documentation for this. This is what causes "rental use" to show up on the AutoCheck report. Payment terms: I will sell to the USA & Canada - you are responsible for transportation & insurance of the car. Please check the 4th tab "Payment" for terms - I require a $500 PayPal deposit, and the balance to be paid by wire transfer. Sorry, no exceptions! The huge glass top gives it a very open feel, while at the same time preserving the quiet and safety of a coupe ADDITIONAL FEATURES:Powertrain 3.6-liter DOHC 6-cylinder 315-horsepower engine 5-speed automatic transmission with Triptronic +/- control on left & right steering wheel spokes. Safety Dual front airbags Front side airbags Antilock 4-wheel disc brakes Emergency inside trunk release Comfort and Convenience Features Air conditioning w/automatic climate control Interior air filter Power steering Telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel Cruise control Full leather upholstery Front bucket seats w/manual height adjustment and power recliners Power front seats w/ driver's side memory Heated front seats Center console painted with the same color as exterior Retracting double cupholder in dash Split folding rear seat Heated power mirrors Power windows Power door locks Remote keyless entry AM/FM/CD/MP3 player Digital clock Tachometer Trip computer Retractable roof panel Rear defogger Intermittent wipers w/heated washer nozzles Appearance and Miscellaneous Theft-deterrent system Automatic rear spoiler Xenon headlights 18" Alloy wheels with Porsche crest logo On Jul-13-13 at 23:17:47 PDT, seller added the following information:In the interests of full disclosure: a condition note I found out today Sat July 13: the serpentine belt is worn. A dealer estimated $210.50 to replace it (this is a part that's considered regular wear-and-tear). One other thing I forgot to note in the original listing: the headlight lenses are cloudy - Pittman headlight renewal compound should fix this. Sorry for the late notice on these! Also wanted to reiterate from the original listing that the car is available starting July 27.On Jul-14-13 at 00:18:36 PDT, seller added the following information:Re the serpentine belt: I didn't know much about them before today, either, so I googled it just now. It's actually even a much easier repair than I thought! There's a terrific DIY article on it here: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/996/255937-diy-996-belt-change.html The Continental brand part number is "A/C Poly-Rib-Belt, 6K x 2115" and it's available here for $30.50: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/smart/more_info.cgi?pn=996-102-151-66-M21 Sorry, but I don't have a quote from my repair shop (Flintworks in Campbell) on how much it would cost if they were the ones to do it, so I don't know that - they were closed when I found out about the belt. That $210.50 figure I listed above was an estimate, not a firm quote, from a dealership that's not the normal place I take it to, so that has to be taken with a grain of salt (but much less if you DIY! ;)
