Vehicle Detail
This is a solid, 4X4 Chevrolet from 1991. Black if you couldn't tell. I used this truck to fix snowblowers last winter and the winter before and it's never let me down. The guy before me replaced the blown 350. The rear has big boy leaf springs, looks like from a 2500, it sat really high in the rear since i've gotten it, and i cranked the torsion bars in the front a bit to even it up. i think it stands pretty well, and looks kinda mean the way it is. since i've cranked the bars, it's kinda stiff over bumps, but not terrible. 4 Okay tires on it. nothing special. the front are starting to crack, but they work. POWER WINDOWS work great. power locks do not work. The body is solid, both cab corners (surprisingly) but the driver's rocker is dented, and rusting through. nothing that would prevent it from passing inspection. The frame is solid as a rock, and straight of course. There's a few scratches, scuffs, and dings on the body. pictures speak for themselves. The front bumper is a little high on the passenger side, but looks alright. The bed has a plastic drop in bedliner, and there's anchors on both front corners for dirt bikes and motorcycles and such. The interior is Red. Classic chevy... i guess. the headliner is sagging, but the last guy added strips of sheet metal to keep it off your head. they work pretty well. interior light works. I shampooed the carpet about a year ago (i worked at a dealer with a detail bay), and it looks pretty good. gray slush mats included. Seats good, no broken springs etc... i wish it had a cup holder, but it doesn't... sorry. It has the OE radio, but it has a DIN sized location for a cd player, and i have the harness to go with it. Since i've had it i've replaced the following with NEW PARTS unless noted...Lower Ball Joints (Moog)Pitman ArmFuel PumpWater pump and Fan Clutchupper radiator hoseThermostatSerpentine BeltAlternatorTransmission (used)Front Brakes (pads/rotors) LAST WEEKA/C bypass pulleyAlso, this was originally equipped with a GARBAGE THERMAL COUPLING on the front axle to engage the 4X4. they all fail. we opted for a 'POSI-LOCK' 4X4 cable. Operable from in the cab, and works MUCH better. We also changed the front and rear diff fluid, and t case fluid when we got it. Shocker... this chevy has 250K miles on it. At this point, engine has been replaced, Tranny has been replaced, it ALMOST doesn't matter. This truck has made me a LOT of money, and has gotten me out of a bind about 100 times, whats more is that it has 4X4, and is VERY reliable. The truck has a THRUSH muffler, and is pretty loud. The A/C doesn't work. Evaporator leaking. noisy compressor was removed, but is included in the sale if you want to replace the evaporator. (no i'm not going to lie and say 'just needs a charge'. if it needs a charge, it's broken.) The rear brakes have NOT BEEN GONE THROUGH since i've owned it. nor will i before i sell it. you know it needs wheel cylinders, shoes, and a hardware kit, but it works the way it is.On Jul-05-13 at 12:10:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Note about question below... used transmission was installed at 240K NOT 140!! my mistake. purely a typo. good used 700R4 installed. On Jul-06-13 at 21:35:09 PDT, seller added the following information: $1500.... Almost there!!
