1964 Ford Galaxie XL. Car has a 390 CID motor with about 6,000 miles on it. Front brakes have been converted to power disk brakes with a 1968 master cylinder and proportioning valve. Fuel tank has been removed, cleaned and treated with Pore. New fuel line. Ball joints and all steering (tie rods etc) have been replaced. It is equipped with power steering with newer slave unit and hoses. Wheels are torque thrust retro style mags. (4 original XL hub caps will be sent with the car). Factory AM/FM radio. The tires are 2 years old with less than 2, 000 miles on them. The rear leaf springs are new. I had an extra leaf added. This is why the car does not seem to squat as most 64’s do. To the best of my knowledge all systems, electrical, lights, etc., are in good working order. Most of the wiring harness is new. This car was ivy gold with a 351 motor. I did add 3 point retractable seat belts. The original seat belts are available if you want them. Also head rests are added. Most of the chrome and the stainless are in very good shape. Both bumpers should be re-chromed eventually. The rear bumper has 2 small areas around the bolts that the chrome is chipped off. There are some rust bubbles on the bottom of the passenger door, see photos. I am aware of no other rust. If you want photos of any other area of the car let me know and I will take and send them. The car has a clear title. It is available to test drive. I am willing to take the car to any Indy garage of your choice for an inspection, at your cost. I have done my best to list this car honestly. Please ask any question before bidding. I can help arrange transportation, but transportation is buyer’s responsibility. I don’t know of any reason you could not drive this car anywhere, but it is 50 years old. This is a 50 year old used car. All alterations are done with improved safety in mind.
