For sale is an extremely rare Penton, If your looking at this listing I will assume you are familiar with this model or you may want to do some research, this is an early version Mud Lark with the Iron barrel and Aluminum head built for Penton by Wassell, it is in extremely good condition with just a few small dings in the beautiful aluminum tank and side covers (the side covers would probably clean up almost 100% with an english wheel) and the compression release lever is broken where it pivots on the perch (I would assume the compression release is used for some type of maneuver vs. a starting aid), it also appears to have thrown a chain at some point slightly damageing the case and cover (look closely at the picture)it is complete down to the correct air cleaner (similar to the Amal's you would see on a Triumph) and chain oiler, when I got this it did not have the correct handlebars but I was fortunate to locate a NOS set of Wassel bars (I believe the only incorrect part is the front number plate), this machine starts in 1-2 kicks and runs and shifts as it should, it will need a new rear tube which I will supply (I will install if I get the chance), this is an original unrestored motorcycle and as such it could probably use some attention to make perfect , please feel free to ask any questions or if possible come and see the machine, as always shipping is the responsiblity of the buyer but we will help in any way practical.
