Relisting, buyer unable to purchase, please only bid if you meet ebay listing terms and conditions- Available for auction is an original rust-free 1973 California FJ40 Land Cruiser Survivor with 90K documented original miles, original paint (yes original Toyota Cygnus White factory paint as applied at the assembly plant when built in November 1972), original interior, seats, seat belts, upholstery, dash, visors, window cranks, gauges, 1F motor, 3-speed transmission, exhaust, hardtop, glass, body, fenders, tub, doors, hood, hatch, frame, weather stripping, wheels, jump seats, emblems, smog pump, headliner, power brakes, etc. This is a well documented three-owner FJ40 with dated maintenance receipts and California vehicle registrations dating back to 1987. Warehouse stored for 17 years, recently removed from storage, boiled / flushed fuel tank & lines, rebuilt carburetor, completely rebuilt 4-wheel power drum brakes, new master cylinder & booster, new oil, new tie rod ends, detailed and re-sprayed factory bumpers, Duralined interior floors & tub. Starts, runs, steers, drives and stops great, looks beautiful. This is an exceptional example of a clean, cancer-free 98% original early 70's California FJ in well preserved, remarkable condition, beautiful 40 year patina with mild chips, scratches and oxidation. Excellent lines, seams, gaps and joints, ready for a new owner to admire, drive and enjoy. Built in November 1972, this FJ has spent its entire life in sunny California. Clean, clear california title. Other than described in notes below, all vehicle components are in good working order including- Turn signals, head lights, hi/low beams, brake lights, hazard flashers, dome light, brakes, parking brake, glass, wings, window cranks, door locks, vents, transmission, whipers, heater motor, speedometer, alt, temp, oil & fuel gauges. NOTES: - You are bidding on a beautiful 40 year old manual-choke FJ40 which starts, runs, shifts, drives and stops as it should. - The original wheels and tires were also removed and placed in long-term dry storage, the tires are approximately 19 years old, ride smooth and visually appear to be in decent shape with approximately 70% tread remaining, HOWEVER, the winning bidder will need to replace the existing tires upon delivery, before driving any distance specifically due to the age of the rubber. - Slight oil drip on garage floor. - The clutch is factory original, it operates, engages and shifts smooth, it has 90K driving miles on it and is adjusted to its max. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A non-refundable $1000 deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The balance is due within 7 days of auction end.
