1949 Ford F1 Year: 1949 Make: Ford Model: F1 Trim: Miles: 1,071 VIN: Stock #: Engine: 8-Cylinder Color: Audi Mother of Pearl White MPG: Options: Description:This is BY FAR the nicest example of a 1949 F1 that I've ever seen, and I've been to several high-end no reserve auctions.  The nut & bolt rotisserie restoration was painstakingly performed by the best shop in Canada, and includes amazing attention to detail.  With over $111,000 in receipts there was no centimeter of this beauty that wasn't lovingly restored, from the furniture-grade oak bed to the plush mohair interior to the custom Billet wheels.  Painted Audi mother-of-pearl white, the cost of the paint ALONE (before labor!) was nearly $5000.  Don't be fooled by the spectacular exterior because this baby has some power under the hood with the 1949 Mercury flathead stroker V8 and 3-speed transmission.  Even the undercarriage is spotless with no signs of rust or even wear and tear.  It's no surprise that this truck won first place out of 700 cars in the All-Steel category.  I even have the ORIGINAL owner's manual!!In all honesty, I should be taking this showpiece to one of those fancy auctions we all know.  But this car is way too precious to be toting cross-country and roughed up being pushed across the auction block.  Everyone who sees it, whether they're looking to buy or just looking, tells me it should be in some collector's dream museum.  (Actually, it was - ask me about that story when you call.)  For this price you won't find anything nicer for less -- and if you do, point me in the right direction so I can buy it myself!
