Honda 1968 Z50AK0 Mini Trail Frame S/N Z50A-113561 – Engine S/N Z50AE-113527 Up for auction is a premium condition 1968 Z50AK0. This bike has been painstakingly refurbished and has so many new parts you will think you are looking at a new bike. Most parts are either original or OEM Honda. The following description will give you an idea as to all that was done to complete this bike. Please forgive me for using the word “New” so many times but like I said almost everything on this bike is new. I think anyone would agree that this bike looks fantastic but unless you have restored one yourself you can’t really appreciate the amount of labor and money it takes to restore one of these bikes to this level. Engine and Transmission Rebuilt motor and transmission. New piston and rings. New timing chain, gears, and rollers. New oil seals and gaskets. Lapped and resealed valves. New clutch discs. New shift fork and shift drum pins. New points, plug and condenser. New coil and plug cap. New shift & kick start rubbers. New fuel line. New air cleaner foam. Rebuilt K0 carburetor. Nice long-fin side cover. Polished cam gear & tappet covers. New Honda head pipe & exhaust guards. Original K0 muffler in excellent condition with the correct verbage. The bike starts on the first kick and runs like a dream. Wheels , Tires, and Drive New original NOS style Bridgestone tires, new tubes, new wheel bearings and seals, new brake shoes. Rezinced OEM 415 sprockets & chain. Polished K0 hubs with rezinced hardware. Front Fork Assembly Front Fork Assembly was rebuilt with new fork seals & boots, and the K0 triple clamp was repaired and polished. Steering Assembly New CHP grips & control cables. Rechromed K0 handlebars. New throttle assembly. NOS brake levers. New OEM handlebar knobs. Bike Body and Frame The frame was pressure washed and glass beaded prior to painting and the paint is gorgeous. There must be a way to back light the bike or something to allow the pictures to look as good as the bike but I don’t know the secret. Trust me when I say the paint is much, much nicer than the pictures. The paint is a match of the Honda Yellow and was applied as primer and then the base coat. The gas tank is a welded neck K0 tank painted in two-tone Honda Yellow and White. The bike fenders have also been reconditioned and painted original Silver. Original K0 seat pan with reproduction foam and cover. Rechromed and resealed K0 fuel cap, All of the Honda large "8" bolts have been rezinced. The K0 small diameter foot-pegs and kickstand have also been rebuilt and rezinced. Other sellers tell you the bike is fully restored but then give you only a dozen or so pictures of which none are closer than five feet. I’m giving you 100+ high resolution photos for you to really examine this super nice bike. Many of the photos are as close as I can possibly get without the camera going out of focus. They pickup the bike and prepare it for transport in their covered van and their price is quite reasonable. If they aren’t available then I recommend uship.com. I won’t crate the bike but if you want to ship by forward air please include an additional $50 to cover the cost of tie-downs and a good lock. Payment Details $500 due within 24 hours through PayPal.
