Up for bid is a 1996 Volkswagen Passat Sedan TDI 1.9L. This is a Wolfburg Edition (Made in Germany) 5-speed overdrive manual transmission. The car has 162,428 miles on it, while the engine has approximately 16,000 less miles on it. This car was bought from a private owner in 2009. Currently the car is missing the grill structure, lights and front bumper. This car has not been used on the road since July 2010, but starts up with no problem. We had the salvage certificate, but misplaced it, thus a new certificate has been ordered and will be in hand in about a week. Only other items that may need fixed up are the rear brake, needs a battery and has a slight oil leak. Body is in good condition as well as a clean interior. Wheel wells have some rust from wear. Good Michelin tires 195R60 with 60% tread wear left. All electric works (power locks, windows, sunroof, mirrors, a/c, lights), except for front grill.
