Vehicle Detail
If you were to look up the definition of "Cream Puff" in the dictionary, you would find a picture of this car. This car was bought in August of 1971 and was only driven occasionally on the weekends. It has never been driven in snow and has lived in the same garage for 42 years. The owner is well into her 90's now and would like to sell the car to take care of some issues around her house. I am a family friend assisting with listing the car on Ebay, answering questions, etc. She truly loves the car but realizes that it's just taking up space now and it's time to let it go. The Good: The car is in immaculate condition. The paint is all original - a beautiful maroon. I can't find any dings or dents on the car anywhere. Never wrecked. The only evidence of wear I can find on the interior is on the drivers seat, and it's barely noticeable. Headliner looks new. Red leather looks great. Electric seat works fine. AM/FM radio works great. No cracks anywhere on the dash or doors. 472 motor starts right up and sounds great - no smoke. Vinyl top looks great but it's a bit dusty. I don't see evidence of any oil leaks. Everything on this car is original...nothing has been replaced. Even the tires are original. The trunk looks completely unused. No rust at all that I can tell (see pictures). With just a little bit of work, this could be a show car. Title is free and clear. The Bad: Not much. The A/C doesn't blow cold and probably just needs to be charged. I would recommend getting a tune up done if you were planning to drive the car a good distance. It runs fine now but the car hasn't been registered in several years so its trips lately have consisted of backing onto the driveway and maybe going around the block. The original tires don't appear to have any cracks but they are 42 years old just like the car. The only paint chip I can find is extremely small and is near the back of the trunk (see pictures). There's a bug/rock guard on the front of the car that kept the hood free of dings quite well. The paint looks great but it could use a new coat of wax and some minor buffing to make it really shine. Sorry for the long description but I want to be as straightforward as possible. The Ugly: Nothing! Please contact me at greg.riegel@yahoo.com or 303-426-4960 with any questions, or if you would like to schedule a viewing. I can email more pictures to potential buyers, as well. We have set a very reasonable reserve price. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but we can assist in coordination of shipping if necessary.
