Up for auction is a 1971 CL350 in remarkable, all original condition. Based on it's condition, it appears that this bike was very well maintained. The chrome on the front and rear wheels is in almost flawless condition with a very small amount of pitting that I think will polish up with a little work. The front and rear fenders are also in very good condition with almost no pitting on the chrome. The tank is in decent condition, however there are some dents and scratches on the left side that can easily be fixed. The inside of the tank is also in decent condition but it will need to be cleaned. The exhaust on this bike is in outstanding condition. There is some light rust on the inside of the bends that is visible in a few of the pictures but it is not noticeable when the pipes are mounted on the bike. To find CL350 pipes in this good of condition is very rare, I have seen CL350 pipes in worse condition sell for $200 by themselves. The seat is in good condition and is free of any rips. The chrome on the handlebars is virtually flawless. The engine will run momentarily with starting fluid sprayed into the air cleaners. I have not tried starting it with fuel in the tank because it needs to be cleaned first. I performed a compression test and found 170 PSI in both cylinders which is factory spec. Because of having such high compression, I suspect someone has already rebuilt the engine but I cannot say for certain. This bike would make a very good candidate for a cafe racer or stock restore because it is so complete and in such great condition. I do not have a title for this bike, but it does come with a bill of sale. Due to its age, a title is not required in most states for registration. Check with your state's DMV for clarification.
