Up for auction is a 89' pilot. exterior I would rate @ 8, mechanically I would rate 9. I am 3rd owner, I have original bill of sale and title from original owner, that doesn't make it worth more just kinda cool I thought. Bike is completely original, down to oem tires and brakes. I didn't take time to clean it all up and put the "make it look shiny stuff" on it. The 8 rating on the plastic etc. is due to it has a small crack on pass. side fender (shown in pic). It has some surface rust on a-arms and shocks simply from use. The rear bumper at one time was broke, I reattached the broke piece via a mig welder (shown in pic). Oem tires are wore out but hold air. Has original drive belt and spare still intact. Seat, netting, hand controls all intact. The e-brake is froze up and the tube from the snorkel to airbox is dry-rotted. Mechanically it is sound. When I got it it 3 yrs ago it was bone stock down to original piston. this past winter I pulled the engine and did a rebuild. .40 over wiseco piston only because of availability, new rod oem, new lower rod bearing oem, new crank bearings oem, new comet clutch. The clutch I'm not real fond of due to the increased spring weight. You have to be pretty hard on the throttle to roll out. It is a simple fix by changing spring tension.
