Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1973 Triumph Bonnevillr T-140V. It was purchased last summer as a non-running bike. Since then, the bike has been rewired and cosmetically cleaned up, but has, for the most part, just been in storage. It ran for about 50 miles two months ago, but after storing it for another month will no longer ride. It has not been put down or anything while in my care. I'm having to sell it now because I'll be moving in June and will no longer have a place to store it. The Bonneville is in good overall repair. The engine is in good mechanical condition; it turns over nicely, doesn't make any unusual sounds, and the transmission shifts through all gears. The front and back brakes are in good shape as well. It is currently fitted with two after-market carbs, but the earlier Amal's are in a box along with an assortment of other spare parts. Like I said, it hasn't run for a month and will need work to make it fit again, but you would have a good bike with some hours of work and a good running over. It is also a cosmetically awesome bike. Both tires have a lot of tread left on them. Minor patches of surface rust on the wheels. The tank has a two small chips but still shines. The seat is in really good condition with no rips or tears. This thing grabs lots of looks and thumbs up. The bike comes with a clear title and a good amount of paperwork from previous owners. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
