Vehicle Detail
I have for sale my 1969 Dodge Charger ‘White Hat Special’ project car. This car was originally equipped with the 383 Magnum engine and a HD 727 automatic transmission. The car is largely complete other minus the drivetrain. The car does have some rust in the floor pans that will need to be patched. The center part of the trunk was replaced at some point and is solid. The passenger side rear quarter panel has damage at the front just behind the door and will need to be repaired. It looks like maybe someone backed into at some point. The driver’s side quarter panel, roof and rear window area has had repair work done to them already by the previous owner. The doors and both front fenders are in good condition. There is a minor spot of rust at the bottom front of the passenger door. The grille and deck lid are also in good condition. The frame rails also all look good. My inspection did not find rust in any of the frame rails. The interior looks to be mostly complete. The console seems to be the most obvious piece that is not present. I did not get a hood when I purchased the car. However, it does come with a hood that I had in my extra parts pile, but it is in fairly rough shape. It could be repaired and used but it might be easier to just track down another hood. As mentioned, the previous owner had begun working on the car and when I bought the car it was sanded through to bare metal in many places. I applied the primer to the car to prevent surface rust on the bare metal. This car needs work, but it will make a good project for someone. It would be a good starting point for a Dukes of Hazzard, General Lee replica because it already has a nice set of 14"x7" direct bolt vector wheels (not uni-lug). I do not have a title for this car. It is sold with a bill of sale only! I have included a Photobucket link to an album with many more pics of the Charger. http://s869.photobucket.com/user/sridenour/library/1969%20Dodge%20Charger%20White%20Hat%20Ebay The car is sold as is, no warranty implied or offered. The successful bidder is required to send a $500 nonrefundable deposit within 12 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be discussed and agreed upon prior to bidding!). If you are not able or willing to meet these criteria, do not bid until you have discussed options with me. So, please ask all your questions prior to bidding. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of auction. I prefer PayPal (for the deposit) and a postal money order, certified bank check, or cashier’s check for the balance. All funds must clear the bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car. ***IF YOU ARE A ZERO (0) FEEDBACK BIDDER, YOU MUST CONTACT ME AND PROVIDE YOUR NAME, ADDRESS AND A TELEPHONE NUMBER PRIOR TO BIDDING.
