Vehicle Detail
I have for sale my 1969 Dodge Charger RT project car. This car was originally equipped with the 440 Magnum engine and a HD 727 automatic transmission. It does not have a motor or transmission. This 1969 Charger R/T was a very nicely optioned car from the factory with several of the more rare options such as power front disc brakes, power windows, and 8 track radio. From what can be made out on the fender tag, here is a list of this cars original options: E86: 440 cid 4 barrel V8 (High Performance) 375hp D32: Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission B5: Bright Blue Metallic Exterior Color C6X: Trim - Charger, Vinyl Bucket Seats, Black X9: Black Int. Door Frames B41: Front Disc Brakes w/Standard 10in RR Drum B51: Power Brakes C16: Console w/Woodgrain Panel G11: Tinted Glass (all) H51: Air Conditioning with Heater M21: Roof drip rail moldings M31: Belt Moldings N85: Tachometer P31: Power Windows R22: AM Radio with 8 Track (10 Watts) V68: Longitudinal Stripes, Deleted As you can tell from the pics, the car is reasonably rough but it is a real R/T and a very well optioned one at that and in a highly desirable color. It does need all the typical rust repair that these old Chargers are known to need. Some of what it will need is full OEM style quarter panels, rear valance, rear tail light panel, deck filler panel, trunk pan and a roof skin. The floors are not rust free, but they are solid. They can likely be saved with a few patches. The frame rails are in good shape. The doors and front fenders are also in good shape. The hood is good on top but does have some repairable rust near the hinge bolts. The grille is present but is in poor condition. All the needed replacement panels to get this car back on the road are available through Auto Metal Direct (AMD). Everything that comes with the car is pictured. This is a true R/T that will make someone a great project. It needs a lot of work, but this car is worth the effort. I do have a clear and current title in my name for this car. I have included a Photobucket link to an album with many more pics of the Charger. http://s869.photobucket.com/user/sridenour/library/1969%20Dodge%20Charger%20RT%20Trouble The car is sold as is, no warranty implied or offered. The successful bidder is required to send a $500 nonrefundable deposit within 12 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be discussed and agreed upon prior to bidding!). If you are not able or willing to meet these criteria, do not bid until you have discussed options with me. So, please ask all your questions prior to bidding. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of auction. I prefer PayPal (for the deposit) and a postal money order, certified bank check, or cashier’s check for the balance. All funds must clear the bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car.
