This is a nice M-37 that has been well taken care of; has a gloss green body with black fenders. The history of this vehicle is only known for the past 20 years where it was a City of Santa Rosa, California service vehicle. The colors under the paint reveal flat yellow and orange. Not a daily driver but used almost every weekend to cruise around locally. Detailed Information: MILEAGE: 31237 ENGINE: Original Dodge type flathead 6 cylinder Exhaust manifold split with two down pipes, two mufflers and two exhaust Carburetor has been rebuilt but idles a little fast and rough; believe it is either old gas or an adjustment that is needed to correct. TRANSMISSION: a new used 4 speed synchromesh transmission; shifts smooth; gears quiet TRANSFER CASE: Twin lever high/low; works well FRONT AXELS: Warn Hubs on each hub ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: Converted to 12 volts with new wiring kit and fuse block; has working turn signals GAUGES: Original speedometer, all gauges work BRAKES: Rebuilt brakes with new wheel cylinders, master cylinder, emergency brake works TIRES: have 60%-70% tread; spare rim but no spare tire BODY: Overall straight, some scratches and chipped paint PAINT: Green body with Black fenders. Unsure of the type of paint though it looks like single stage urethane not too old. Some evidence of chipping in areas of sharp edges otherwise it looks very good. No big dents or scratches in the body or paint. TOP: Nice metal top with rear window that has some soundproofing on the inside, fully removable for driving in parades or on the weekend but still weather tight when installed. RUST: Light surface rust on some bolts used to assemble vehicle; should have used either stainless or galvanized or painted them but it is what it is. No evidence of rust on any of the body panels. ACCESSORIES: New mirrors, 5-gallon gas can, shovel and axe on tailgate. Tow bar that fits front bumper, cable wrapped around front bumper is towing light setup. While not in military dress, should someone wish to return the vehicle to its normal military paint and decals there should not be any problems. The body has not been cut or modified in any area other than the metal top. It appears some of the bracing for the canvas top was used to create the metal top. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to remove this listing at any time.
