Vehicle Detail
Maverick is a one of a kind nearly original survivor. It has a 302 2V that has 86k original miles, automatic transmission with power steering and power disc brakes. Factory electronic ignition, and rear window defogger. Has lots of new parts as we were building it to keep but life changes. The 302, 5.0 was just rebuilt with new oil, smog and water pump. At the same time we did a front seal on the C4 auto trans and installed a complete gasket set including valve oil seals. The motor does not smoke, not even when re-started at the 7-11 after warming up. The tires are in good shape, all 4 at around 60% or better. We replaced the muffler and rear tail pipe a few years back, and put a Cloyes double roller timing chain in when we had the motor apart. Also has newly rebuilt front disk brakes with new pads and rotors and a new radiator. Car is a solid driver, it idles, runs, shifts smoothly and stops without shaking the steering wheel. All the electric works, fan, wipers, charging system, lights, signals, ect. Nearly perfect dashpad and headliner. When the car got into a fender bender about 5 years ago, we replaced the trunk lid and put a 4 thousand dollar coat of competition orange paint, base coat, clear coat and it still glows. Oregon titled and tags are good till the end of 2014. Car has non original bucket seats out of a 2003 import, they are firm and recline. Overall I would say the car is in exceptional condition for its age, but in modern terms I would have to rate it somewhere between VG to EX inside and out. Please remember this is a 35 plus year old used car and it may have small dings, rock chips, scratches in exterior or interior finish. It is not a show car, just head turning transpo that gets pretty fair mileage with the 2v carb. If you have ever wanted a really nice, classic Maverick this fits the bill. The only warranty or guarantee I can offer is that the car was built in 1976, sooner or later parts will break, stop working, wear out, quit. It is not a new car, don't expect it to be. UPDATE A question was asked about the TITLE, here is the reply. The title to the maverick is "branded as reconstructed". That was due to the car getting hit in the trunk, as described. The insurance company was not able to find a replacement trunk-lid, and totaled the car. I had to buy a dead maverick, which I sent to the crusher just to get a trunk-lid. It is still a "clear" Oregon title and you will have no problems converting it to another state, it is just stamped "reconstructed". I can help to get the car loaded up and sent on its way if you are going to ship, no problem. We usually have to drive about a mile up the road to get something on or off a vehicle transport. We live in Oregon and have lots of low hanging trees around, so much so that the BIG RIGS don't get very close the neighborhoods. Thanks The floor mats are no longer in the car as they got stolen out of it over the winter where it was parked. Everything else pictured is what the car looks like today
