Vehicle Detail
This car was purchased new by a local doctor who sold to a friend of mine. He owned it for 12 years. I am the third owner and I have owned it for 26 years. It has never had any damage to it of any kind not even a crack. It has never been off the frame, but I did rebuild and restore each component part as you see in photos. This included new Allen stainless exhaust, leather Deluxe interior, all new chrome and emblems. I also replaced every seal and bearing in the entire drive train. The paint work is flawless Mulsanne Blue. Car has new window motors, original glass, the original top was black, but I replaced with a white top. I didn't like the black. I owned and operated an automotive high performance machine shop for 32 years just to let you know I know about high performance. The engine has 100 miles on it since receiving a complete rebuild. The motor has new forged pistons, stainless valves, roller rockers (I have the originals) crankshaft is standard. This corvette has all the original drive train that GM put in there in 1970. This is an all matching numbers car. All U joints are lakewood racing units, clutch is a ram metallic high performance. Everything on this car works like it did the day it was made. Over the years I have owned about every kind of American performance car made. GTOs, Hemi's, Shelby's and most everything in between. I can faithfully tell you that none of them were as much fun to drive as this LT1. It runs and drive like new because it mostly is. There are no foreign made parts on this car anywhere. I used NOS GM parts exclusively when available. It has 76222 original miles on it and less than 600 miles since being restored. I replaced the original gas tank build sheet with a copy, but I have original. I have just about all recites that was spent of restoring. I never intended on selling this car, but sometimes we have to do things we didn't plan on. This is a car you can drive, show or whatever you like. It is a real ride and very fast. Bidder must have at least 10 positive reviews or must contact before bidding. I will only respond through my Ebay. Please no tire kickers on this auction. My time is valuable and will only answer legit questions. I will add more to description as I think of things thanks. I have added a slide show of 57 pictures that should tell the story below. On May-05-13 at 17:10:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added a picture of the motor stamp pad as requested by many Ebayer's. If you are serious about owning an original rare 1970 LT1 Corvette then bid on it NOW. You may not likely see it again unless you go to Barrett Jackson car auction in 2014. They charge a 10% buyers premium which can add to the price tag. Don't wait !
