I recently purchased this 1987 Porsche 944S to do auto-x events at NOLA Motorsports. I have to admit, I was drawn in by the awesome body lines of this car. After driving it around town, I decided that this isn't the right car for me. I never took it to any race events. It does handle and drive well though. Reliable enough to be a daily driver. As far as vehicle details:5 Speed 152,000 milesThe good: Mechanically, it has been well-maintained. I have receipts to show for most of it. The following has been replaced less than 2 years ago:Clutch/pilot bearingAll belts including timingBrand new a/c compressor converted to 134-aSpark plugsPlug wiresDistributor and rotorTurbo spec water pumpStarterSony Cd player and new speakersAir flow meterShocks were replaced 4 years agoWOT switchFlywheel position sensorOil pressure sensorTurbo spec catbackMultiple hosesMultiple bushingsMotor mountsTensioner PadAnd a few other motor parts. It runs and drives perfect. A/c is cold, Tires have plenty of tread. The piston rings and thrust bearing were changed about 6000 miles ago, and the head was swapped for a re-manufactured one. This car starts and runs like new.The bad:Rock chips on the hoodCracked lower front bumper(fiberglass)A few dings around the bodyABS light is lit on the dash. ( The light only comes on after I start driving, so I suspect a wheel sensor.)Small oil drip towards the front of the engine on the passenger side. It's a very minor drip, but I wanted to be sure and disclose it.The drivers seat, as seen in the picture, needs to be sewn back. The foam is still fine. I have a new windshield, a new Cat converter, and a new fuel filter I can include in the sale.
