Vehicle Detail

Here is a cool old 1946 Ford pickup, old hot rod "Barn Find". This truck was hot rodded back in the 70's and put in a barn in the 90's. Recently pulled out, cleaned up, new parts etc. To start: It has a 1965-66 era 289 V8. I pulled the valve covers and intake and it was very clean inside, and looks to be very low mile and or rebuilt at one point. It is basically stock with New points condensor, cap etc, new GM alternator, new fuel pump, gaskets, filters etc less than 1000 miles ago. Runs great with constant 60lbs oil pressure. 2bbl Motorcraft carb. New exhaust in summer of 2012. C4 automatic transmission, fully rebuilt in sumer of 2012. Mustang style shifter, dual glasspack exhaust. Very clean under hood, no visible leaks anywhere. 9" Ford rearend with 3.25:1 gears. Stock steering, stock front and rear suspensions with tube shock conversions, and slightly lowered. Recent radiator, nice big 3 core radiator with electric fan. New master cyl, new wheel cyls and shoes all around, 53-56 F-100 front bendix brakes, 1957-72 style 9" truck rearend with drum brakes. Body: Very staright and solid sheetmetal. Floors were replaced back when it was originally hot rodded, nicely done but not factory looking. Stock firewall with a brushed stainless cover. Good fenders hood and grill. Paint is 30+ years old and is checking, cracking and popping off here and there, but still shines well, and has a great "patina" look with old pinstriping. Pass front fender is by far the worst. Dash and inner cab and doors still shine well. all good glass, Stock seat in naugahide tuck and roll. Chromed cowl vent, showing age, but still shines well. Oil pressure and temp guage work, amp guage works but is wired backwards, (easy fix) fuel guage and speedo not hooked up. No gas guage due to the 16 gallon vintage Keg gas tank! Anheiser Busch. Old wood running boards are solid, wooden flatbed, very solid floor, with new side racks. All lights, horn, turnsignals and brake lights work. Old AM/FM cassette stereo, works but not well. 15x 6 1/2 front wheels and 15x 10 rears with New Cooper Cobra tires in summer of 2012. New battery summer of 2012 This truck does run, shift and drive very well. Looks great as it is as an old hot rod/ shop truck. A couple things it could use yet to be done is a carb kit as it does not idle real well, but does accelerate well. pass side exhaust manifold gasket on one cylinder is leaking, (new gaskets included). Steering could use to be adjusted a little tighter, its not too sloppy, just a little play. Title is currently being processed into my name, no issues with it just have not gotten it back from revenue office yet. Should have it by auctions end or shortly there after, but it is good and will be clear Missouri and in my name. Some new and extra parts included. Fly in and drive home! $500 deposit within 48 hrs and remainder of payment within 5 days unless other arrangements are made prior to bidding. I can store free of charge indoors for 30 days then $5 per day after, with outside storage, also unless other arrangements are made prior to bidding. This will make a great old scholl hot rod or shop truck, or an excellent start for a fresh project. (573)338-5356 with any questions. NO- Reserve.
