O R G Museum quality UNRESTORED 1973 Riviera camper. 63,000 original miles. 1 owner, garaged since new. I bought this van from the original owners. The bus has been in the same family since 1973. They purchased the van new from the Riviera company in Hillsboro Oregon then shipped to Carter Motors Inc. in Seattle Washington. The van still has its original Carter Motors license plate frame. The van remained in the Seattle area garaged with the original owners all these years. The van has its original window sticker, all manuals and paper work. The van was garaged since new and only driven on family outings. The van has only been driven an average of 1575 miles per year. They decided to sell the van as they were elderly and no longer able to drive. I had the paint buffed out and it came out amazing. The paint is ALL ORIGINAL and looks near perfect. There is NO RUST anywhere on this bus. There is only a few dings on the entire bus. The interior is in near perfect condition and looks brand new as seen in the pictures. The motor runs perfect and the engine bay was spotless when I bought the van, as seen in the pictures. I was told this van rarely seen rain and was only driven in the summer months on family outings. This would be a perfect center piece for any V.W. collection or museum. This van will only go up in value. Very rare to find a unrestored all original van that still looks brand new. All original door seals and rubber are in perfect condition. The van has no rust any were. Sandblasted and painted wheels, front and rear bumpers. Garaged since new. Battery trays perfect. Rain gutters perfect. Needless to say all the body is in excellent condition. Engine / Transmission - 63k original miles. 1700 cc motor with rare automatic transmission. All new fuel and vacuum lines. New gaskets in engine and transmission (all leaks were repaired). Rebuilt carbs and fresh tune up. Motor runs perfect. Transmission shifts great and has just been serviced. $5000 in receipts in recent mechanical work done. Petronix electric ignition. Interior - The interior is all original and in excellent condition. Front seats were recently reupholstered. Dash has no cracks. All rubber mats are in excellent condition, No rips in headliner. The headliner is in new condition. The bus has all of its curtains including the curtains that snap over the front and side windows for privacy. All original tools and jack. Rare factory bug screens for the rear hatch and both left and right front doors are in new condition and were never used. Rare storage consule with a back rest that converts the bucket seat into a bench seat, and also has a built in port a potty that has never been used. All interior camping cabinets look new with no damage or chipping. The fold out bed upholstery is like new with no rips or damage. Original Coleman propane stove, ice box, electric faucet all in excellent condition. Upper bunk cushion is in excellent condition. The interior is in near perfect condition due to it being garaged since new.Pop Top - The canvas is in perfect condition. No rips in the bug screens. All zippers work great. The gel coat on the fiberglass top is new condition. All pop top hardware is shinny and clean. The storage area on the front area of the pop top is in great condition. Upper mats / cushions still look new. Other - Tires are in good condition with plenty of tread, new front and rear brakes cylinders and lines. New master cylinder. From fuel lines to brakes, all the mechanical maintenance work has been done to make this van run strong for another 40 years (over $5000 invested in recent mechanical work). This is a museum quality V.W. bus that can also be used as a daily driver, show car or the center piece for a car collection. They are only original once and very few exist in this kind of show room condition. Thousands of dollars went into the maintenance and preservation of this bus.
