I purchased this car about 1 year ago, below is the description of the car when I purchased it. The car was beautiful and I made it perfect, by re-doing the chrome, stainless steel, hubcaps, engine detail etc... This car is absoluely stunning. The only negative thing is the headliner around the rear window is stained. I don't know if it could be saved. Around 1983, my father bought the car from the second owner. The second owner bought the car from the original owner in 1950, the car sat from 1950 t0 1983 and had never been rained on. My father began the lengthy process of restoring the car to original condition. He hand-built and balanced a proper, completely stock 59-AB ford Flathead engine and heads, replaced the wheels with original, and had Chris Auto Body (who have done concourse-level restorations) in Lambertville, NJ take frame off and repair, replace and refinish very bolt, nut, tube and wire on the car. For the final finishing touch, he shipped the car to LeBaron-Bonney for completely original interior (if you can find a late 1880's Hemmings and look at the LeB-Bads, you will see the interior of a 1946 Ford, and on the driver's door, there is an out-of-place piece of stainless steel, and that is my father's ford). When it came home, it was simpley stunning, smelled like a new car inside. The car was registered, but never driven more than a few feet. It is 99.999% original. My father was a positively manic about being original. The single only onther thing that isn't original is that he put a 1950 buick bombsight hood ornament on top of the normal hood ornament, it's barely noticeable, and does give you a interesting perspective when driving around.
