Vehicle Detail

1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible. This car runs very good, no modifications. The odometer shows 51,124 miles. This is a well cared for, all original, unrestored vehicle. I only have history from the last 20 years and it was garage kept that entire time. It was entered into several local car meets & events and won some trophies however it is not a pristine show car, but very little would be needed if that's what you wanted it to be. It starts & runs very good. It drives just as you would expect, it "glides" down the road smoothly. I recently took it on a 100 mile drive and all I got were people staring & pointing. This car is beautiful. The only three things that I can think of to be addressed right away are a couple of windows need a little help rolling up & down, it could also use new rubber weatherstrip between the top & windows and there is one small concern with the paint that is hardly noticable: On the right rear quarter there is an area the size of a quarter where a light bondo patch was done in the early 90's and has a small flake. I have used several different magnets and looked on the inside of the panel and other areas- THIS CAR IS NOT all rusted out. This was a very minor repair to a small area. It really doesn't even need to be addressed, the car looks awesome! I had the car on a lift yesterday and the undercarriage is completely intact, never damaged or rusted, all the critical areas where factory reinforcements & suspension joints, etc... are all in great shape. It still has the factory undercoating which has turned a brownish color, that is not rust either. It would seem to me that this car was just very well cared for, never molested or modified & had a couple of simple paint jobs over the years. The convertible top and drive motor all work like its 1963 again. Don't miss this one, it's a keeper.
