OK. I FIXED THE JETTA WITH NEW COIL PACKS AND IT RUNS LIKE NEW HOWEVER IT EITHER HAS A BAD WATER PUMP OR A BAD HEAD GASKET. I DROVE IT DOWN THE ROAD AND AFTER ABOUT A MILE THE LOW RATIATOR LIGHT STARTED FLASHING WHICH MEANS THE RESEVOIR BOTTLE IS LOW ON WATER. SO, YOU BE THE JUDGE. IT IS ONE OF THE TWO THINGS LISTED ABOVE. THIS CAR IS STILL OUTSTANDING. IT JUST NEEDS THIS ITEM REPAIRED.*******FIXED********** I called Jim Ellis VW in Atlanta and told the service department what the car was doing. He said the coil packs were bad. He was right. I replaced all four and now the car runs like new.************* This is a super nice 2000 Volkswagen Jetta GLS with a 1.8 liter turbo engine that needs a little work.*****FIXED**** This car is super clean with virtually no scratches on the exterior except what is shown in the photos. I do not believe the car has ever been wrecked. The interior looks almost new with no cracks whatsoever. The carpet is very very clean with very little ware.***** FIXED***** This car has a problem that I do not have time to diagnose or fix.****FIXED**** It tries to start and does fire, but will not run. The timing belt is intact as well as the other belts with no ware that I can see. I did find a small fitting that had a hole in it that goes to the radiator, but that is it. This car would make someone a nice car if you have the time to fix this problem. The car has almost every option available including sunroof, am/fm cassette, pw,ps,power locks, automatic without triptronic. I am selling this car AS IS with no warranty of any kind and no returns of any kind. Please understand this car does not run at this time and needs to be repaired. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES CAREFULLY AND BID ACCORDINGLY. NO WHINING AFTER THE FACT OF ANY KIND. Remember this is a used car and I am trying to describe it to the best of my knowledge. The Jetta runs great, but the water pump is leaking. I filled the resevoir tank and drove it about a mile and did not run hot or even get warm, but if one were to drive it very long with a leaking water pump it would leak and start the low fluid light blinking. I bought a brand new GEBA metal impeller water pump for the car, but I am not going to fix it because this is an extra car for our family and we simply do not need it. Other than the water pump, I cannot think of anything the car needs. Everything works except the retractable cup holder door is off because the hinge pin came out.
