Vehicle Detail

1929 Ford Model A 155-B Briggs Town Sedan. It has 35,000 miles showing on the working odometer, but it’s anybody’s guess how many it really has. It is an older restoration that is holding up well. It was restored in the late 1950’s or early 1960’s per the previous owners. The paint color is Andalucite Blue and I believe the wheels and pinstripe are straw. Fenders are black of course. The interior headliner is structurally excellent but there is some water staining near the rear from a previous water leak. The vinyl on the top is great and it doesn't appear to leak now. I think it was replaced after the stains were made. The car is 84 years old so some of the history is unknown to me. This car is a driver and not a show piece or garage queen. The paint is a 20 footer. Looks good and gets a lot of attention! It is a great driving car with the normal Model A maintenance ongoing. This car runs great and doesn’t overheat. See picture of temp guage radiator cap after a 35 mile drive. The VIN is from the engine which has been replaced at some point and is a 1931 engine. There are no funny noises from the engine, although mileage on this engine is unknown. All the glass is good, doors latch good and windows all go up and down like they should. The side front interior kick panels are missing. You might be able to see this in the pictures. All the pictures and video were taken on 4-7-13. I have clear title in my name. There are several things that have been done in the last couple years… Rebuilt Steering Column Rebuilt Water Pump New front wood floor All new wiring (correct cloth type) And in the last couple months: New 6V alternator New Optima 6V battery New LED Tail Lights Rebuilt Door Locks Some other new parts (breakdown parts that you carry with you) will also come with the car. This car is great fun but I just don’t have the space or the time for it right now. If you are looking for a good solid driver Model A, or a good car to restore, this is it. The ’29 Briggs are a little more rare and quite desirable. The cowl band alone is worth a lot of money. They are hard to find and this one is nice! Please ask questions if you like, and I will give you my phone number and would be happy to answer any questions or concerns…well except my reserve, which is low.. The car and I are located in Indianapolis, Indiana and I have the car for sale locally as well. If you are local you are welcome to come and see the car. Three videos of the car driving on 4-7-13 can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEhZDuF9_SU (the water on the radiator is from washing it, not a leak) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eu0h9DIyMQs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CamyhOAFsFU $500 Paypal deposit due within 24 hours of auction end and payment in full in cash or cashiers check due within 7 days of auction end. I will not release title or car until after cashiers check has cleared. Yes, I have seen fakes. On Apr-09-13 at 18:26:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Just remembered, the front shocks are not on the car and have not been on since I have owned it. I do have them and they go with the car. They are frozen and need rebuilt. The rear shocks are in tact and on the car. Thanks~
