NO RESERVE!! High bid wins!! 1967 Convertible Chevrolet Camaro Original California Car NO RUST ANYWHERE!! No damage history 383 Stroker Motor 400+ HP 700 R4 Automatic Tranny (Built By Sacramento Race Company) HOTCHKIS Sport Suspension Four Wheel Disk Brakes Tilt Steering Power Steering Current Registration, Clean Title in Hand Show or go, very dependable. This is a very nice car. No expense was spared, it was built right. I bought this car about 15 years ago in Pomona California. At that time it was a 327 stock Camaro with an automatic transmission on the tree. It was completely bone stock and I bought it from the second owner, he had it for over 20 years. There has never been a drop of rust on this car. I listed the car as RS SS because it has a modified power train and suspension. Not a factory SS (obviously) I lived in Las Vegas when I bought this car so I drove it to Vegas and started building it up right away. I replaced the 327 with a 383 stroker that was professionally built by a race shop in Las Vegas. The engine produces well over 400 hp. I wanted an engine that had plenty of power and was “bullet proof”, that’s what I got. I purchased the transmission from a race shop in Sacramento California, it cost me over $6,500. I even installed a custom balanced drive line. I installed the power steering, 4 wheel disk brakes. Then I completely upgraded the suspension to a Hotchkius TVS including sport coils, sport sway bars, heavy duty tie rod sleeves and sport leaf springs. The cost of the suspension upgrade alone was almost $3,000 including professional installation. I installed a tilt steering column and moved the shift from the column to the floor with an instrument cluster on the floor console. I added the Crager style rims and tires several years ago. The tires are still in excellent condition. You will notice that I upgraded the hood as well. This is not an aftermarket hood. This hood is an original steel hood from a 1969 Camaro. The paint on this car was redone over 20 years ago. The car has never been stored outside or driven in the rain. The paint is still in near perfect condition and the convertible top still looks new. I have several cars in my collection. I rarely drive the cars and this Camaro has been driven less than 3000 miles since that day I bought it. You cannot drive this car without getting “thumbs up” from most everyone you meet. Every time I stop somewhere I have someone approach me to ask about the car and several times I have people that have requested permission to take their picture with the car. You could not build this car for less than $50,000. The car starts right up and runs very smooth. The engine has plenty of power and the exhaust was done right so it’s not too loud. It does have a nice rumble to it and it has a distinctive 383 lope when it is idling, it really sounds good. This is a car that you could put in any car show and draw plenty of attention. You could also get in this car and drive it across the country tomorrow. I wanted something beautiful that was super reliable. This car was built right! I would have no hesitation at all if my wife wanted to load up the kids and take this car on a cross country trip tomorrow. It would be a pleasant drive and no worries about mechanical issues. Everything works as it should. The cassette stereo was in the car when I got it. It plays fine; I even installed an electric antenna. I had always planned to upgrade to a CD player with an amp but I never did. I am only selling the car because I have other priorities that I need to put before my Camaro. I really love this car; it is a pleasure to drive. It does not feel like you’re driving some old hot rod. It drives smooth like a new car and handles the road like a sports car. It has more power than you will ever need. You could smoke the tires right off the car if you wanted to. (It does have limited slip posi-trac) This is the kind of car that you have a personal relationship with. I kind of feel like I am doing something wrong when I list it for sale but I need to buy an orchard tractor and it does not make sense to have this parked in my garage and only drive it two or three times a year. I really hope this car goes to the right person. I know I am supposed to list the bad but there really is not much to say. I never installed the heater core after I replaced the engine, that’s about the only negative. (I still have the new heater core on the shelf in my garage). I am selling the car as a true “no reserve auction”. I know there is a risk in selling it this way but I figure that I will get whatever the car is really worth this way. Please don’t send me a message and as what my reserve is, there is no reserve. If you want to make a fair offer to buy the car before the auction ends, I will consider that as long as we have agreed before the final 24 hours of the auction. I will not end the auction early if it is within 24 hours of completion. I’m sure I am forgetting stuff. I’ll take additional pictures on request. Feel free to come and inspect it in person. I am in New Braunfels Texas. You will not be disappointed. If you are the winning bidder you must pay a deposit of $500 within 24 hours after the auction has ended and the balance must be paid within 5 days. No Reserve !! High bidder wins!
