Condition: 1962 Dodge Custom 880 for sale. The car is pretty rare as just under 20,000 were manufactured. In 1962, Chrysler Corporation had downsized all of their Dodge vehicles. The new, smaller vehicles were not as popular with the American public, and Dodge dealers were up in arms that they were losing business. Chrysler quickly set about to create the 1962 Dodge Custom 880. The full-sized vehicle is a marriage of the front of a 1961 Dodge Polara, and the rear of the 1962 Chrysler Newport. In addition, it lost brakes last spring and I haven't had the time to look into what failed (brake hose, brake cylinder, etc). The car hasn't been started since the end of last summer, so I'm sure the carburetor will need to be thoroughly cleaned, and the gas tank may need to be drained. With some TLC and knowhow, this would be a great car to restore. The car is being sold AS-IS. Features: Four-Door sedan with Push button automatic transmission. 361 8cyl engine. History: I purchased this vehicle near the end of 2007 from a private owner in Boston, with the hopes of restoring it. Short of replacing the master cylinder in 2008, both horns, a tail light assembly, and a hose here or there, I haven't taken any action to restore.
