Vehicle Detail
BLAST FROM THE PAST, DUDE...... Rare chance to own of of the most desirable Mustangs out there, a genuine 1964 1/2 Convertible. While this classic needs a complete top to bottom restore she still possesses some nice features. Fairly complete and original overall, she still has her original body panels, complete drivetrain (minus the carburetor). Has the original 64 1/2 parts (like generator light, front horn, straight edge hood), power top with motor, original seats, original top frame in good shape, poppy red color. We were even able to peel back the front right fender and found the hidden VIN tag on the fender wall to verify authenticity. The weather has taken a toll on the floor pans, but not a basket case at all. Will need floor pan, torque box and rail work, so its a big job, but for an experienced Mustang mechanic it shouldn't take very long at all. Body panels are all savable and pretty decent. Front clip and valence still looks straight. Engine support area is SOLID. Battery tray needs work. Doesnt look like it hit anything or been hit. No sagging. Rolls fine. The hood has an aftermarket HOOD SCOOP from a previous modification. Engine looks good and it even looks like some recent head work has been done. We believe it is the original 4 speed toploader transmission that came with this car from Ford. Even has older Ford, original? HURST shifter....NICE... If theres ever a car worth restoring for potential high resale value, Its THIS 1964 1/2 Mustang. We have a LOW BUY IT NOW and a lower reserve on this car. We do have it for sale locally so we reserve the right to end the auction early. No bids from dealers. Collectors only please. Sold how-is, as-is. This is a rough but rare and highly sought after collector Mustang needing metal work. We hope to be accurate with all our commentary on this 1964 1/2 classic , but please email all questions before bidding. We will try to get them answered immediately. The heads have 65 on them. Rare 289 D Code ( changed to C code in later Mustangs) this is a genuine early Mustang gem. Survived, trades, hurricanes, the crusher, Obama's cash for clunkers, she's still here and standing. Bid to reserve or hit the BUY IT NOW and make this car yours. Must adhere to the timing and pickup on this auction. Any variation must be approved in advance. This is a rare but do-able project car with rust repair needed. Can help with shipping here in the States or Worldwide. $500 deposit due at auction end with balance due in 3 days from auction end. All payments non-refundable Good Luck bidding
