Vehicle Detail
Ownership: I've owned the car since early 2007 when the car had roughly 33k miles. Rebuilt Title: I hit a deer in October 2010. The car was written off due to the expense of some of the new body parts, however I was able to find used parts for a fraction of the new price. Car has had passenger headlight replaced with a non-xenon unit, hood replaced with hood from another ’03 Lincoln, new radiator, new A/C condenser, and the front bumper and passenger fender were repainted. Ohio State Highway Patrol Inspection is complete and the car has rebuilt title, is licensed, and insured. I have included a picture of the car before its repair and, as you can tell, the damage wasn’t all that bad, but the cost of new Lincoln parts adds up really quickly. Condition: The Good: When I fixed the radiator and A/C condenser, I also replaced the serpentine belt, spark plugs, and all eight COP’s (coil on plug). The A/C still needs charged, but the car runs well. After I had it completely back together I used it to commute to work (70 mile round trip) 2 or 3 times a week and it ran and drove very well. It’s not perfect, but it’s in very good condition as I am fanatical about keeping it clean. The interior shows very little wear and the exterior is far nicer than most cars with similar mileage/age. The Bad: The transmission went out just before Christmas, about six months after I got the car back together. It was an issue that was beginning to creep up on me prior to the deer strike, as it began to shift harder than normal. I have a neighbor who purchased a FWD Chrysler 300C with a bad transmission, removed it, had it rebuilt for about $600, and then reinstalled it. If you know your way around the garage, this is a great deal, as I know this would be an easier job than the 300C since the Lincoln is RWD. I no longer have the space or the time to mess with it. Clean N.A.D.A. Value is ~ $7,350.00, but my reserve is a considerable amount lower due to the rebuilt title and broken transmission. Transaction Details: A $500.00 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction close. Balance to be paid in Cash or Certified funds within 7 days of auction close.
