1975 BMW 2002 4-speed sunroof car. Fjord Blue. Runs, shifts, and drives very well, goes straight down the road and handles like a 2002 should. Complete engine rebuild 4,100 miles ago. Rebuilt to stock specs bored once over. Rebuilt in 2003. Have receipts totaling over $5K for re-build. I am the third owner, the car was origionally purchased and resided in northern California from 1975 until 2003. The car then resided in Kansas in a tempature controlled garage until 2011 when I purchased it. It has always been garaged since I have owned it . Re-painted in 2003, the second owner said it had never been crashed and no rust repair was ever done. Under the hood was not painted and there is some evidence of fading or cosmoline, Im not sure exactly. The rear deck lid was re-painted in 2012 due to the second owner drilling holes in the lid for a spoiler, I had them welded up and the lid sprayed. The following has been done since 2011: New world upholstery carpet, new headliner, new front seat pads, rear padding looks good so I am sure it was replace at some previous time, new front seat belts, new door panels from Germany, new window cranks,new vent window knobs,new door brakes, new door lock rod bushings, new door handles and locks, new ignition lock, new stereo & antenna, new speakers, new floor mats, sunroof re-built by BMW dealer, new Ignition from Racetep, new wires, new coil, new Weber 45 side draft carb with new Lynx ramflow intake manifold, new ceramic Ireland engineering header with new full Ansa exhaust, new cross drilled front rotors, new calipers and new wheel cylinders, new drums, new shoes, and new pads, new Ireland Engineering front & rear sway bars, New BMW springs, New Bilsteins, new alternator, new 320i radiator, new front grills; left, right, and center, new thermostat, new hoses, new tires and wheels, new voltage regulator, new battery, new wiper bushings, new wiper arms, new dome light switch, new fuel pump, new tail light assemblies, new tag lights, new hood gasket, new trunk gasket, new trunk boards, new passengers side mirror, new fuses and fuse box cover, new strut bearing caps, new owners manual, new inner door weatherstrips, new center link, new carrier bearing, new transmission mount, new shift shaft seal, new output flange seal, new distributor housing gasket and seal, new rear roundel, new gas cap, new interior rear view mirror, new short bumper kit from Racetep, 8 of 11 pieces of beltline new, new lower moldings(all), new rear battery locate from Racetep. I know there are other things I just cant remember or dont have the receipts. The A/C does not work, I know the rheostat is bad and the compressor does not go on, I never looked at it in depth because I had planned to update it to a newer system at some point. There is one bubble in the paint on the right rear quarter, see picture. The paint had cracked by the deck lid and moisture got under it, this has been evident for about 9 months. The back side looks very solid. I will fix it if the car does not sell. E-mail with questions. Serois buyers only, no games. The only thing this car needs is to have the paint bubble fixed along with the A/C. I have fixed every little thing that I could find. It shifts great with NO issues. I put Red Line synthetic in the gearbox and rear diff. I can provide the name of the shop in Longwood that has done work on the car. I asked them to look it over when I bought it and list anything that needed attention, when they called I said fix everything on the list.On Mar-26-13 at 20:23:07 PDT, seller added the following information: I will also include a Getrag 245 5-speed transmission that can be used to upgrade from the existing 4-speed.
