If you have been considering BMW's flagship motorcycle but didn't want to spend up to 20 grand on a new one here's your chance! This bike changed my life! It propelled me into the GS community, which I am now a proud and active member. I bought this bike back in 2010 from it's original owner in Virginia Beach. At the time it was four years old and had only 2,000 miles on it. It is now perfectly broken in with 21,800 miles. If you are not familiar with riding the R1200GS, it is a very comfortable bike with an upright seating position and wide handlebars. This bike is outstanding in all realms. It is comfortable enough to cruise for hours, state to state. . . alone or with a passenger. It has the torque and horsepower to hang with sports bikes. -But it's built for and has the chops to handle rugged, off-road terrain. It really is the perfect motorcycle! It can get up to 50 miles to the gallon and typically costs around $15 to fill up. I love this bike and I would rather not sell it. I am only selling it because I just bought the BMW R1200GS Adventure model. This standard GS model comes with ABS, heated hand grips, hand protectors, a power socket for plugging in heated vests and other accessories plus a lower seat that allows most riders to stand flat footed at intersections. The extras I've added to this bike include expandable BMW Vario Panniers (hard saddle bags), a taller windshield that's four inches taller than the stock windshield, Hepco & Becker engine guards and a nose protector. It has been 100% garage kept, regularly serviced and primarily ridden in Florida. It has never been dropped. I have the title, all of the service records and two keys. I recently changed the oil and filter plus I had the brake line flushed and replaced with new brake fluid. The rear brake pads are new and the front brake pads have several thousand miles left in them. The tires are practically new. The battery is about a year old and has been stored during this long winter in a warm room on a trickle charger. With all used bikes it has a few minor scratches here and there including small, insignificant scratches on the engine guards, panniers, windshield and luggage rack and one insignificant scrape on the right valve cover. There may be some small additional wear and tear that I cannot think of or am not aware of. It is in excellent condition overall. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a viewing.
