Please allow ample time for our high resolution photos and video to load. Thank you.1931 Ford 5-Window Model A " For Pete's Sake " as presented by...Texas Motor ToysTexas Motor Toys is proud to present this classic style 1931 Ford Model A Rat Rod. This car was special built by a gentleman who is no longer able to participate in cruises and enjoy the car. We just acquired this car and want to send it to a loving home. He set the car up to drive and drive it he did! It features later Camaro front disc brakes along with a heavier front axle from a late 30's Ford. The body has chopped & channeled with vintage 1950's style fab. work including wishbones front & rear. The rear end is a 10-bolt with polished coil-over shocks. The tires of choice are wide whitewall radials. The back tires have just been replaced with 285/70R15 B.F. Goodrich wide white radials. The fronts are Coker 215/75R15s. This is a car that has been driven on weekends to the local Sonic & more. Be sure & play our video of this Rat Rod in action. The vintage header pipes are muffled and sound excellent at idle and under throttle.VIDEO BELOW / PRESS PLAY VIDEO ABOVE / PRESS PLAY Our photos were taken on location at Texas Motor Toys and around Terrell, Texas. "Sign Painter John" of Terrell is responsible for our custom mural in the background. The exterior showcases Henry Ford steel throughout & older paint here and there. Any rust has been cut out and replaced. This one is finished ... and air tight (snicker)! Power is courtesy of a smooth running Thunderbird 312 with vintage speed equipment. A later 12-volt alternator provides plenty of voltage for street duty. Triple carburetors sit ready atop an Offenhauser aluminum intake. The fuel is fed from a small Marine gas can loose mounted in the rear behind the seats. The transmission was recently rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt in the past and runs good today. This is a healthy hot rod you can enjoy as it is or tinker with as you please. This one has been reliable and driven by its long-time owner. The windshield isn't cranking out anymore. The side glass is tinted & shattered on both sides. Both windows do roll up and down. The track and mechanisms are in place. The interior rear window and rear side windows feature peg board that has been "pookied" in. We've got the original glass interior moulding should you desire to fit any glass in the windows. The driver's door takes finesse to open from the inside. The outside handle twirls in the wind. The passenger door opens on the inside and out. You can see much of the original wood bows in the roof steel. The old yeller doors are in good shape too and solid underneath. Open the doors to yesterday. How about that "concours condition" Banjo steering wheel? This ole girl could be Pebble Beach bound. The seats are comfortable and custom upholstered in black vinyl with white piping. The original gauge cluster features a later functional voltage gauge, vintage (working) S&W oil pressure gauge, and working water temperature gauge. The vintage Banjo steering wheel is cracking and oozing character I do say. Part of the front flooring is a vintage sign topped with carpeting & sewn edges. An upholstered panel hides the small fuel can in the rear. Also, a fire extinguisher is mounted and ready in the passenger compartment. Milner's Ghost ??? This dynamite stance is thanks to carefully selected components, from the vintage Ford tubular front axle, old skool wishbones, to the disc brakes, coil-over shocks and... and.. she just sits RIGHT. Don't scratch my glass! Again, be sure to play our video to see & hear her on the OPEN ROAD. The frame is '31 Ford through and through and in good shape. What do you think this is, some kind of thug kid's jalopy?! Check out that vintage polished grille and Henry Ford steel surround. The trunk lid has been welded and is quite the looker of a trunk lid.. For Pete's Sake... Yes, this Hot Rod has working brake lights, headlights & an AaOuuugah! horn. California Black Plate included for Sunset Strip. Turn the key and enjoy this vintage Ford. Enjoy our remaining photos and again feel free to contact myself, Sam, at 972-748-6389 with any questions or our office direct at 972-563-3344. The visor keeps the sun out of your eyes... People will stare. This rat rod really hits the mark, don't you think? Wax 'er up somethin' special and hit the town in your Sunday best. Nothing says character like a bullet hole from way back. The front brakes are later GM disc. The 10-bolt rear end is paired with polished coil-over shocks. The horn works and has a distinctive chitty chitty bang bang aOoougah!!! She'll get you where you're a goin' . The fuel is stored in a marine tank behind the driver's compartment. If it won't start, reckon ain't got no gas in it... These pipes give off a sound like no other. Aaa thunkathunkathunka... Play that video folks. PHOTO SLIDESHOW BELOW PHOTO SLIDESHOW ABOVEHow about another ride?
