Vehicle Detail
This is a 1989 Corvette Coupe that was purchased new at Mountain View Chevrolet in Upland, CA. The family that owns it now is the second owner, as they purchased it from an elderly gentleman on the same block and have known the car it's whole life, In a moment of weakness, I agreed to help them have the engine rebuilt, and it has inhabited my driveway since then. It was having head gasket issues, so we removed the engine and took it to Waynes Engine Rebuilder's in Riverside, CA who went through it completely with new pistons, rebuilt the heads, etc and returned it to us a complete long block in a bag ready to install. Receipts will be included with the sale. We installed all new cap, rotor, wires, battery and so forth when we reinstalled it. The transmission was completely gone through recently as well, with all heavy duty parts and a nice shift kit. The car still has the original paint, and as you can see in the photos it is experiencing classic GM clear coat fade and could use a repaint. The car runs and drives well, I took it around the block this morning. The exhaust has been upgraded with Flowmaster mufflers, and there is an Edelbrock/BBK Throttle body as well. Other than that it is factory original. All the headlights, digital dash, power accessories function properly. The seats are the original leather, and have experienced some cracking over the years and will need to be recovered. It needs some finishing touches, such as final tuning, There is an aftermarket electric fan solenoid that is in there haphazardly that should be redone, and the power steering cap is cracked. The air conditioning needs to be recharged as well. Overall it is a very solid original piece, with most of the mechanichal restoration done. It needs someone to take it the rest of the way. I can put you in contact with the owner if you have any more questions, please message me your contact info.
