Vehicle Detail
1959 Chevy Apache 32 Stepside Shortbed Flatbed 1/2 ton, 327 V8 engine, It's been a daily driver up to a few years ago.Because of my wife's medical condition in these last years and my care for her it's been started a few times a year and moved around the property. The 327 engine is strong with the Apache at times seemingly like she's on the warpath trying to keep her rear end on the ground. The Apache has a clean flat bed conversion which unbolts easily from the frame. It has dual exhaust with a 10 bolt rear end. The frame on the Apache is good being straight and solid. The interior has a perfect reupholstered seat with a perfect rubber headliner. The interior has all its original knobs and handles. It has no radio and the floor under the mat is solid with light surface rust. The Cabs drip rails have no rust. Overall it has minor rust in a couple areas. The truck is an Idaho truck from an area that does not Salt the roads. It needs a tie rod bar ( cheap fix) to get her blasting around again. I bent the bar when the battery was dead and I was too lazy to go to the shop and get my jumper box so I towed it on the property and the tie rod bar got bent when it clipped a stump as I towed her. Included in this auction with the truck is a Chevy Apache Stepside Shortbed with tailgate and bumper which has been converted to a trailer. The trailer hookup neck is the only thing welded to the original Apache frame. The Chevy Apache Stepside Shortbed can be unbolted from the original frame and for shipping purposes placed on top of the flatbed after a little modification. This package will make a nice restoration project which was my intention for the old girl till my wife took ill and my time has gone to my wife as a full-time caregiver with three children. This truck is in Coeur d' Alene Idaho which is about 8 miles from Spokane,Washington. Please call me with any questions at (304) 488-9661.
