This is a 7 day auction for this total BARN FIND. 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe with 289, automatic. This Mustang starts, runs and drives. This car sat for quite some time. It now has a new; gas tank, water pump, alternator, voltage regulator, thermostat. It has minor body damage to the passenger rear quarter panel. This car had an undercoating applied many years back, so there is no rust where it counts (frame). There is minor and common rust on the lower corners of each door, near the front quarter (see photos). There is also some light rust on things like the axles and drive shaft, etc. Brakes are about 50% pad left, tires are brand new Uniroyals (all match). Please excuse the windows being dirty, as I forgot to do them before I took photos. Everything works on the car, except the radio and the horn. The center chrome horn thing does not stay on the steering wheel. I think it needs "horn rings" that I saw online. Also needed are the two chrome arms that attach to the center of the grill (the Mustang logo) and those aren't expensive at all. I know that if I did the minimal body work and a nice paint job, this car would be worth much, much more money. However, if I were someone buying it, I would prefer to buy it as is, then paint it how I wanted. I hope that you feel the same way. Even though the roof and trunk lid are a little oxidized, the paint buffed out nicely and this Mustang still turns heads. So, don't think you can't buy this and drive it around for a while without painting. I have the muffler, which had been removed to make the car sound awesome. This Mustang is a real pleasure to own and drive. I do wish I could keep her, but I am looking to start a business and I need the money.
