Vehicle Detail
1987 Scirocco GTX 16v - Glossy white on black - 5 spd. Manual Clean CA title, original 16v, original paint, and completely rust free. Built in West Germany and spent it's entire life in the SF Bay Area. Squeaky clean Carfax/Autocheck. $16,000 in performance upgrades since 2005 with receipts! Here is a short list of what's done: ---2.0L A9 block11:1 compression(91+ octane only)ported and polished 16v headforged crankforged rods(center drilled)forged pistonstitanium retainersLSD differentialMotegi Track Lite aluminum race wheels(super light)rebuilt transmissioneuro bumpersBorla exhaust, etc... Click here for the FULL LIST typed into a spreadsheet... I have the original receipts for everything as well. A lot of love went into this car and it shows. all the $$$'s went into the mechanicals of the car and the cosmetic dings, windshield, seat, etc have all been there since I've had it. This sleeper is stock looking on the outside but is really a wolf in sheeps clothing. The car weighs ~2050lbs and has ~170whp and it eats turns for breakfast. It outperforms the new 2012 Scirocco! Things it needs:---it needs this pulley kit and belt ($220)there is an oil leak from o-ring by distributor ($3 part)tear in the drivers seat from 26 years of wear crack in the windshield/dash - does NOT leak - (new windshield is $180 installed) some dings here and there (perfect for paintless-dent removal)crack on passenger-side bottom of front bumper (easy fix for a body guy but never bothered me)washed/detailed If you want a Scirocco, this is the ultimate one and you couldn't recreate this car for $15,000. Bidding will start off at $2,000 to get the ball rolling. The car will sell for whatever the auction ends at so BID OFTEN! You will have to fix the pulley/belt problem before driving, there is currently no accessory belt on the car. I have a clean title in my name and it has no trouble passing SMOG and is currently certified through October. It has 250k on body and ~8,000 mi. on everything that moves(engine, transmission, suspension, wheels, etc...). The car currently needs some work($400 and labor) but I bought a new car and I just don't have the time for it anymore. The car will also come with a box of spare parts, Service Manual, and the original spare tire/jack. Payment:A Paypal Deposit of $1000.00 is due within 24 hours of listing end. Deposit to be made through Wire-Transfer, Paypal, Cash, or Money Order. Deposit is non-refundable. Remaining balance must be in the form of Cashier’s Check or Wire Transfer, prior to releasing car. The remaining balance be paid within 7 days of auctions end. Shipping/Pickup Info:Local pick-up is available in Palo Alto, CA or shipping can be done at the buyer’s expense. I'm willing to work with the buyer on shipping. If Buyer would prefer delivery, I can help arrange shipping, as I have done this for several cars in the past. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral or written statements about the vehicle. On Mar-04-13 at 10:11:49 PST, seller added the following information: As an addendum to above, the car fires up, runs and drives great, but without the belt/pulleys you won't be turning the alternator or waterpump so you won't make it very far. You can buy a #6PK1015 belt and put it on the car with the existing pulleys to drive the car BUT it won't line up properly so the proper fix is to use the kit listed above. Hope this helps clear things up for everyone!
