Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a beautiful 1969 Dodge Charger SE “White Hat Special.” I have clear title in hand. I purchased this Charger in 2006 off of Ebay. I did not have any history on the car, I just wanted a 1969 Dodge Charger. I was recently married and bought an old historic house and the wife wants the bathroom and kitchen redone, so I am selling my prized possession to make this project happen. After I bought the Charger in 2006, a 440 V8 crate motor (Marshall Engine) was installed which married up to the 727 automatic transmission with a column shifter. I have the paperwork on the engine. It was installed 91611 miles. The car shows 93221 miles right now. The engine is strong and sounds great! There are only approximately 1610 miles on the crate motor. The transmission performs well without any issues. The Charger was an original AC car, but the AC is not hooked up or functional. Parts/equipment installed since 2006 are listed below: Gas tank Fuel Pump Fuel Line Fuel Filter Oil Pump 15 inch alloy American Racing Vector Wheels 15 inch BF Goodrich Tires Two Core Radiator MOPAR Electronic Ignition Weiand Intake Manifold Edelbrock 850 cfm Carburator Carburator/Intake Spacer (to prevent vapor lock) Antifreeze Oil and filter Cherry Bomb Glass Packs 2 ¼ inch exhaust piper from the exhaust manifold back Chrome Exhaust Tips As you can see, the vehicle has had a lot done to it. However, this is far from a show car and strictly a driver at this point. I bought it to have fun with and drive around town. If you want the entire history of the car and all the details, this is not your car. If you have always wanted to own a 1969 Dodge Charger and don’t really care about the vehicle history, this is your car. I have the 383 engine that was in the Charger when I bought it. I do not know if it is the original engine or not. For me personally, I obsessed about having a 1969 Dodge Charger because I grew up watching the Dukes of Hazzard. I was going to make it into a General Lee, but I got so many comments from old timers about the car being a “sweet White Hat Special,” that I decided to leave it as is. The interior needs work, but is completely usable. I have the original AM radio, but installed a Pioneer AM/FM radio/CD player so that I could have some tunes. I did not cut up the dash and you could easily reinstall the original radio if you want to do that. The vacuum hide-away headlights work great. I installed a “Dixie” horn that definitely gets attention. I also have a $300 car cover that is pictured that I will include with the sale. Terms are as follows: $2000.00 deposit within 72 hours of auction's end with the balance due in full within 7 days of the end of the auction. Acceptable payment methods are cash, wire transfer, or cashier’s check. Vehicle will not be released until all funds have cleared the bank. No exceptions! There is no warranty either expressed or implied and vehicle is being sold as is/where is with shipping being the responsibility of the winning bidder. The vehicle is titled in Florida and you are responsible for any sales tax required by your jurisdiction. After the funds are clear, I will provide you via overnight FedEx to the address of your choosing the hard copy title. I will not reveal the reserve and I am not accepting any trades. Please, serious inquiries only. You may view the car at any time in Ocala, Florida, just call me to set it up. Thanks for your interest my 1969 Dodge Charger SE “White Hat Special.”
