Vehicle Detail
This is a 73 TR 6 that has had a lot of work done on it in the 6 years I've owned it. I spent the first 9 months replacing and updating it to get it back on the raod, and it's been great since then. The problem is that I've found that I'm just not driving it, I'll take it out on the weekend but it only gets a couple of hundred miles a year put on it . The car runs well and all the electrics except the dimmer switch work. I have many parts that will go with the car, along with paperwork that goes back to 1984. I need to let the car go to someone who will drive it more. When I got the car it had sat in storage for over 10 years and the owner was putting it doing a lot of work on it when he lost his garage and had no where to work on it. There were no breaks or brake lines, no exhaust system, no fuel system , or fuel tank. He had the frame and under side painted with POR 15 along with: new rear springs, and a trailing arm, new clutch, replaced floor pans, new interior, and dash board. The body is good ,just a small dent on the upper fender by the windshield on the passenger side and the bumpers should be rechromed. Work done on it when I first got it: new break system including a new master cylinder, calipers lines and stainless braided lines parking brake cable, fuel lines and reconditioned fuel tank, new fuel pump, new stainless sport exhaust system, rebuilt distributor and electronic ignition, twin SU carburetors, rebuilt differential, new Cooper sport tires, tripod halogen headlights, cd player radio with weather band, new convertible top with reflective strip. This car has had a lot of work done on it and really needs nothing, however it is not restored, so don't expect perfection. The pictures show the car well. I did the work necessary to get the car back on the road and have been enjoying it for the last 5 years, but it should be used more. There is nothing wrong with this car, it looks very good and runs very well, anyone who gets it would be proud to be seen in it.
