1973 Honda SL125K2 Here is a very clean, non-molested, SL125. I purchased this bike from the second owner - an older gentleman who used it on a weekly basis to run back and forth from his shop to his storage barn. Since it was driven regularly, there were none of the issues associated with a bike that has sat in storage for years such as a dirty fuel system. The bike starts and runs great. I ran it up and down the street and it shifts through the gears just fine and the clutch works as it should. The brakes are strong and everything seems to be straight and true. The dual purpose tires have plenty of tread and the chain and sprockets are in good condition. I have not noticed any fluid leaks since it has been sitting in my garage. The exhaust is solid. The speedo and tach both work fine. Cosmetically the bike is very clean for its age. There is some minimal surface rust on the chrome pieces and light oxidation on some of the aluminum parts. The tank has some external rust and fading - please see pictures. The inside is clean and has been coated with a sealer. The seat is very nice with no rips or tears. The fenders and side covers are in good condition. The fork tubes have some light pitting but all of it is above the seal area. As far as I can tell, the bike is all original right down to the handlebars, grips and levers. What it needs - I think just a battery since the headlight, tail light and instrument lights do not light up. I have a clean Michigan title for the bike but it shows the year as 1974 instead of 1973. Obviously this is an error since 1973 was the last year Honda produced this bike. I will also include the original owner's manual and tool kit. I prefer local pick up but if you care to arrange the shipping, I will be happy to assist in any way I can. I also travel around Michigan and some of the Great Lakes area for work so I may be able to deliver for a nominal fee.
