Vehicle Detail
1969 Camaro X-11 This car is a project that I don't have time to finish and I need the space in my shop. The previous owners installed a rebuilt 350 which I verified by pulling the valve covers and checking to see if the heads had been done. It also had a rebuilt 4-speed which I verified by pulling the side covers off the case. The shifter is a new Hurst Competition Plus. When I purchased the car it needed new rear quarters and outer wheelhouses along with drivers side floor pans in the front and back. It also needed new trunk drop-off panels on each side. This has been done. The car is a daily driver, it runs and drives with many new parts I will list below. It is ready for you to take out and play with or start a nice restoration or clone. The nice thing about getting a 69 Camaro with the X-11 in the tag is that many of the SS cars came with the X-11 designation. You could clone this into an SS quite easily. All the hard work is done, all you have to do is finish it. Whats Been Done ? Body: The body is now rust free and although it has several small dents in it, overall it is in quite nice condition. I have had the rear quarters and outer wheelhouses replaced along with both trunk drop-off panels. Both the front and the rear floor pans on the drivers side have been replaced. There is a replacement drivers side front fender extension that is included in the car which will need to be replaced. The flat hood is nice and flat. There is now NO rust on the body. The glass is the factory tinted glass and it is all in good condition. It is missing the rear window trim. The shark fins and marker light bezels are in the trunk. You will notice in the pics that the spacing and gaps where the quarters were installed are really nice and clean. Drivetrain: The engine has been rebuilt along with the 4-speed. The shifter is a new Hurst Competition Plus. The rear end is a 10-bolt non-posi with mono leaf suspension. The engine has a new starter, battery, cables, alternator, belts, hoses, points, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and a brand new Holley 650 carburator. The tires are in good condition and the wheels are the old Keystone Classics. I have no idea if the brakes are new or not, I've never had the wheels or drums off. The radiator is actually the larger radiator that should be used in a big block application. Interior: The interior of the car is the "Standard" interior and is about what you would expect. The headliner is torn, the seats are the originals and are in fair condition, but if you want a nice car, they will need to be redone along with the door panels. The dash pad is nice. Someone, somewhere along the line, glued carpet to the front of the dash area and there is glue residue that needs to be scraped off...idiots! The dash bezel and gauge bezel is in fair condition, there is no radio. The glove box is in good shape and everything is essentially there. I pulled the carpet to inspect and have the work done on the floor pans. I don't know if the heater or defroster works, I have never used them. The drivers door will need a new window crank mechanism inside the door, it appears to be stripped. When we had the rear quarters off, we installed new rear quarter window rollers. I have not been able to really take the car out and drive it, it isn't registered or insured and all I have been able to do is move it around in the shop. There is a 3' wall of snow in front of the shop doors and I can't get it out to drive it so I cannot tell you just how road worthy the car really is. It runs, it drives, it has a nice exhaust sound. I have no idea what was done internally to the motor, whether it was bored .030 over with new pistons or what cam they installed. All I know is that I can tell the work was done. It has a Wiend manifold, new Holley 650, an HEI distributor has been installed and it fires right up when you hit the key. If you have more questions you will have to call me. Terms: If you are the winner of the auction, I require a $500.00 non refundable deposit through PayPal within 24hours of the end of the auction with the balance sent via wire transfer to my account within 36hours of the end of the auction. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arraingements to your destination. This car is sold AS-IS with NO warranties expressed or implied. Make no mistake, this is a project car and still requires some work in order to be truly road worthy. If you have questions about the car, feel free to contact me at 801-91-2653 here in Utah and I will be happy to answer them. Good luck with the auction and thank you for looking. Scott
