1959 Chevy Apache 31 Truck Up for your consideration is an extremely solid 1959 Chevy Apache Truck. Very hard to find them like this anymore. Truck originally came out of South Carolina and has been garage kept in Virginia since 1996. I am helping a friend settle the estate of his brother that was planning to restore the truck after retirement. This truck is very straight and solid and has had a re-spray at some point in its life but before it was bought in 1996. (No hidden body work here) Several upgraded were made in 1999 but truck was never tagged. Engine is a re-built small block 350 from an 84 ¾ ton truck. 99% sure it’s a 4 bolt main block. It has a Holly 750 carb that will need cleaning because of sitting for so long. Truck has not been started in 4 years. It has an electric fuel pump, new battery and radiator and gas tank have been restored. The transmission is a 4 speed truck transmission with a granny gear. The rear end is original to the truck. In 99 the suspension was rebuilt with all new bushings and joints and springs rebuilt. Had new tires and wheels installed in 99 and no visible drywall cracking at this time. Truck appears to still have the original glass and it all looks great for its age. As you can see in the pictures the owner was trying to re-wire the truck before he passed. The truck will crank but will not start because of the old gas and gummed up carb. I have personally owned several antique vehicles and I can’t believe how solid this truck is.
