Very Original unmolested 1963 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. It appears to be a 2 owner Car. 2 door Caddy with its original paint, interior, Trunk, Engine and Trans. NO RUST!!! It has 91,602 miles showing. I was told these are the original miles but do not want to quote that. Based on the condition I would say it is probably correct. It was originally Sold (Original Bill of Sale) in Las Vegas Nevada on 11/21/1962 for a grand total or $6915.95. It looks like it came out to California shortly after she was purchased. I have a gas receipt from 64 with the Nevada Lic Plate listed and I have a Registration for 1965 in Laguna Beach, California. From that point forward it looks like the Caddy has always been in California. It comes with the original Owners manual, Protection plan booklet, Bill of sale and the Cadillac plactic pouch they go in when in the glove box. She sat for 5 years in a garage before I picked her up. Prior to that she was always on the road. EXTERIOR: The paint is original (White) but it looks like the top for the hood has had some possibl spray can spots. It looks like someone started to cover up the polished through areas with a spray can and never finished or decided not to. No appearance of damage at all there. The car does have a couple minor dings but nothing major at all. Look at pictures. The only areas of surface rust can be clearly seen in the pictures. Again there is no RUST on this Caddy. The surface areas can be polished off they are that surface. Bottom of fenders, quarters and doors are as solid as when new. The trim is all there and in nice shapt. No pitting to the chrome. The 2 trim pieces that go on the top by the hood are loose needing clips. INTERIOR: The interior is a rare and desirable White with Red appointments (Carpet, Dash, Tops of doors, Bottom of doors and steering wheel). PW, PDL, Clock, Power Vent Windows, Power Seat, Power Antenna, Factory Radio. The red dash pad is perfect. No cracks. The carpet is the only thing that has been replaced and possibly the seat belts. The bill of sale shows the seat belt option. Not sure what the original seat belts for a 63 Cadillac look like. I do know the Cadillac emblem was not available on the seat belts until 64. The seats clearly need to be redone but they are the original Leather material. I did not try to hide anything. The chrome seems to be in nice shape but needing a good cleaning. UNDER HOOD: The Caddy has the 390 4V motor with the 3 speed Automatic. Power steering, Power Brakes, A/C. The motor starts and runs. It does not smoke at all. All fluids were fine and look good levels. Just wanted to get her started and make sure she runs and drives. Drove around block and trans shifts fine. My goal was to make sure she runs and drives. All that was done was replace points, condensor, cap and rotor. Next the fuel pump was replaced all rubber lines leading to carb from tank as well as the fuel filter. New Battery. Engine runs smooth. She does appear to have a slight exhaust leak coming from the LH rear side next to the head. (Gasket). The radiator wants to spit out water after she has run for a while. Possible a thermostat. I want to keep her as original as possible for anyone that wants to preserve her originality. The heater has been bypassed at some point signalling a heater core replacement needed. No rust under hood or in engine compartment. UNDERSIDE: The frame is solid with no rust issues what so ever. Looks to be original. I was told the brakes were done prior to her being parked as well as brand new tires put on. TRUNK: Pictures tell it all. It doesn't look like the trunk was used much. It still has the original spare tire, Complete jack assembly and the original material liner covering the trunk. No signs of wear. Some minor dirt that can be cleaned easily. Underside of trunk looks new. All seams are solid with no rust. The trunk light works. ELECTRICAL: Did not want try alot. The fan comes on but will not try A/C as I do not want to damage anything. I tried the drivers window and it seemed to work but I didn't want to get it all the way down and find it will not come up. The car is outside and i do not want it to get wet inside from any moisture. Not sure if all windows work or not. Vent window motors sound as they should working but vent windows do not open or close. The interior door light comes on driver side but not on passanger side door. Power seat works. radio does not turn on so not sure if Antenna works. Did not check fuses. Also has original keys with the Key Numbers written on the Bill Of Sale from the dealership. I bought this car to sell only. I have no interest in these cars no matter how cool they are. I am a 69-71 muscle car guy. Just to be clear I am not representing this as a perfect car. This DeVille is a very original and solid Caddy. Not often seen in this original shape. Not to be driven home but with a good cleaning and very little TLC she is a great original Caddy.
