This auction is for my 1995 Ford Lightning. This truck has been a source of joy for me for well over a decade but it's finally time to let it go and let someone else have some fun with it. I'll break this up into what I have done to it and what things need attention, What I have done to the truck: March Power and Amp series underdrive pulleys Nos big shot GT40 plate system (tuned to a 125 shot) with double bottles, heaters, remote bottle valves, and a purge valve Noisy gear drive Bassanni shorty equal length headers Bassanni catted Xpipe (although the cats have long since blown out like they always do) Borla cat back that exits behind the pass rear tire EGT probe and in cab digital readout Autolite 2 stage colder plugs MSD coil MSD 6AL box Motorsport cap, rotor, and wires Flow Kooler high flow water pump 160 amp alternator K&N cone filter in the stock location Stallion 2800 stall converter B&M shift kit and fuel and nitrous gauges under the hood I never got around to mounting on top of the hood It has a bed rug in it It has a roll away bed cover but the sun has since put some cracks in it I still have the ORIGINAL Lightning floor mats in "good" condition, no tears or frays but they are slightly dirty but were never put in the truck unless it was at a show With that set up it ran a best of 12.58 on Eagle GT2 street tires and dynoed at 412rwhp and 450rwtq. The problem was I never got an EEC tuner to get rid of the speed limiter and the stock fuel system was causing EGT temps over 1800 so I left the big shot in it but capped off the ports and ran a single nozzle in the throttle body set at 100. Now for the things that need attention: The tranny needs a refresh, its starting to shift hard and the lock up in the converter is rather harsh The rear end needs to be refreshed, the bearing lash is just enough to cause the speedometer to jump from the reluctor moving The front ball joints have some play The strut arm bushings need replacement It'll need new tires from sitting It'll need new front brakes from sitting The only rust is on the front lip of the hood and is new within the last year one of the injectors is flowing a little more than the others and every once in a while will stumble on start up There is no rear bumper on the truck, it was rear ended and the bumper was the ONLY thing damaged. A roll plan was replacing it but I never got around to it The paint is in good shape with the exception of normal road abuse (it was a daily driver when ever it wasn't snowing out). The wiper cowl however is faded, it was repainted after a windshield company damaged it replacing a windshield, I guess they never clear coated it.... Does it need a few things? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Its a Real Lightning, not a clone, and with the exception of the gear drive the long block has never been opened up. I will ship but the buyer has to handle ALL details, I will just be present to see the truck loaded up and to send confirmation to the buyer. The truck has been in storage for 2 years but started and driven every month that we didn't have snow. The paint isn't as good looking as in the pics since it's been in storage but I will have a complete inside/outside detail done once the purchase is finalized.
