Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a 1966 Chevy II Nova that is a lot of fun to drive, draws a lot of attention, and has the following. - 327 c.i. engine (out of a 1968 Chevy Camaro) - Borg Warner 4 speed transmission (out of a 1963 Chevy Corvette) - Edelbrock carburetor - Edelbrock aluminum heads - Headers with Magnaflow mufflers and 3" exhaust throughout - HEI distributor - 10-bolt posi rearend with 3.08:1 gears - drag and sway bars - no power steering - no power brakes (drums all the way around) - Pearl White exterior paint - Aqua interior with bucket seats I bought the car in November 2008 and have done the following to it since then. - rebuilt the transmission and installed a new clutch - replaced the Holley double-pumper carburetor with the Edelbrock carburetor - replaced the Crane Cams ignition box, coil, and distributor with an HEI distributor - replaced the 3.73:1 rearend gears with original ratio 3.08:1 gears - replaced all four shocks - replaced the ignition switch - installed new spark plug wires and plugs - installed a new thermostat and replaced the radiator cap - replaced the battery - flushed the radiator, changed the oil a few times, and lubed the chassis - added the factory style rocker mouldings since the pictures were taken All-in-all this is a great car, but it is a driver that has minor blemishes! This is not a Goodguy's car show winner or a Barrett-Jackson $100,000 auction car, but it is great for the local cruise or to take to the local track, and it does very well at small car shows. If you want a $100,000 "trailer queen," then please look elsewhere and don't waste either of our time! Following is a list of the most severe blemishes. None of these are very severe, but I want to be up front with you on them. - some holes in the passenger side inner fender from the Crane Cams ignition that was removed - paint peeling below the master cylinder from a prior leak - crack in the paint above the driver's rear wheel well (poorly touched up) - crack in the paint at the rear of the driver's quarter panel (again, poorly touched up) - seam sealer cracked and chipped on the bottom of the driver's A pillar - seam sealer cracked at the top of the driver's A pillar - seam sealer cracked at the top and bottom of the passenger's A pillar - paint peeling off the lower driver's B pillar - dash pad is missing (dash is painted to match the rest of the interior panels and is in great shape) - minor scratches in the windshield in front of the driver (don't impair the driver's sight) - scratches in a couple of the rally wheel beauty rings - speedometer/odometer do not work (believe it just needs a new cable) Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions, but included above is just everything I know about the car. NO warranty is expressed or implied and the car is sold as is! Personal or third party inspections are welcome/encouraged and I will do everything possible to accomodate your schedule to see this car.
