1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe | Near perfect NOTE:  CAR IS IN HARRISON, ARKANSAS (72601) USA (Not Ponte Vedra, FL USA) - Near flawless, in and out - Careful, attentive maintenance - Engine rebuild 3,800 miles (6,115 km) ago     - "Guards Red" exterior, black leather interior - 153,500 miles (247,000 km) - Service history   1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe - 3.2L H6 FI  VIN: WP0AB0912HS122806  Babied, near-perfect example of this Porsche classic.  Treated as "garage queen" by current owner and pampered with careful, budget-free maintenance.   I am not the owner, but know the owner well and his standard of care for his vehicles.  From 3 meters - the car appears near "showroom" and only on entering do you notice ANY signs of use and NO signs of unusual, or even very little "usual" wear.  It may not be Concours, but vastly superior to what most consider a "driver". Of course, I know of the care with which he treats his cars and motorcycles and would be confident that his description of the "known problems" are all that any prospective buyer would find relevant. The car can be seen in Northwest (Harrison) Arkansas, served by airports within 60 miles at Bentonville (XNA), Harrison(HRO) and Springfield (SGF) and Branson (BKG) in Missouri.  The buyer can fly in and drive back to wherever.   The interested bidder should ask questions, request detailed photos, service records, etc. - Engine - Engine rebuilt in 2004 by Perfection Plus in Little Rock Arkansas.  The rebuilt engine has 3,800 miles on it, which averages to about 600 miles per year.  Post-rebuild valve adjustments completed by Perfection Plus in April 2005.  Fuel pump was replaced at that time. - Tires - Yokohama AVS ES100 tires installed in May 2005.  Tires have about 2,700 miles on them. - Clutch Assembly - Clutch assembly, ring gear, starter, replaced in October 2007 by Perfection Plus. - Battery - New battery installed by owner in February 2009. - Brakes, et al - All brake calipers and pads replaced in June 2009 by The Foreign Car Place in Harrison, Arkansas.  The original calipers had frozen up from not being exercised.  At the same time, new front shifter bushings were installed.   ------------------------------------------------------ Known Problems: - Air conditioner - It works good when it is charged, but needs frequent recharging.   - Door locks - Door locks work fine, but the electric lock switch on the driver side does not work.  It has to be locked and unlocked on the passenger side. - Paint - 2d owner had a big dog that would jump up onto the driver side door, scratching the paint in a few places.  Paint is chalking on the hood. - Interior - Has the expected (or less?) wear of a 1987 model car with the original interior, but is still serviceable.
