1963 Ford Thunderbird Project. I thought my teenage son and I would work on this project together but I really dont have the time, so this project needs to move on. The engine was suppose to be rebuilt by previous owner, he started the restoration on a really good Southern car to begine with and he did a paint job on it, it needs some attention but the car is very straight and mostly complete from what I can tell, the windshield needs replaced and the top quarter panel trim on passenger side is missing. There is new red carpet and underlayment and new trunk liner and headliner. I tried to lay the pieces out to take some pics. On Feb-04-13 at 07:17:27 PST, seller added the following information: Just a few more details about the car. The engine has not been started so this car does not run. The car has very little rust, a few pinholes in one floor board and there are some pinholes behind the wheel on the trunk pan by the rear spring. That is the rust I saw from a brief visual inspection, its no rust bucket. The bottom of the doors look very good and the seems are in great shape, same as the trunk seam and hood seams. The inside of the fenders were painted before being put back on. The paint is pretty good but has some blemishes that will need to be resprayed. There are many extra parts with the car, high bidder can have all of the misc parts which can be valuable. The front and rear bumpers are good but maybe need rechromed. I have the rear glass and the grille for the car as well as an extra front bumper which might have some usuable pieces it has some dents. Just not that is is a project, you cannot drive it home. The engine compartment has been cleaned up and painted and looks very nice. The previous owner to this one took a couple of license plates and welded them in for a battery tray, it is very functional but you may want to remove and make a proper repair. I deal in old cars pretty often and this is a very straight old car that will make some one a very nice classic car upon the restoration being completed.
