Vehicle Detail
1965 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster Thank you for viewing this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster. 1965 was the first year for Side Pipes and 4 wheel disc brakes. This Stingray is a 327, factory 4spd. It is in nice shape, no accidents, very clean original undercarraige no rust issue or repairs. This car was owned by a very good friend of mine, who has just recently decide to thin down his collection. He bought it in 2001, and has enjoyed it for the last 12 years. The previous owner had it for around 10 years as well. If you want a very nice car that you can drive and enjoy this is it. Odometer reads 03516, assume that it has rolled over at least once. It does have a clean and clear Oregon title. The body on this car is in very good shape. Inside the wheel wells are very clean, no signs of any accidents or repairs. It was repainted inside and out, about 20+ years. Overall it does show nicely, and is glossy. When it is outside it looks great, very shiny, you can see some touch up spots here and there on the car. Also some of the typical body seams are showing on the car because of the age of the paint. Overall it has a nice straight body when you look down the sides of the car. Under indoor lights, you can see the paint has some crazing, had has aged. Overall, for a car that you just want to drive and enjoy, take to the cruise ins, and peoples choice type shows it would be perfect, you will proudly enjoy it for sure. It is not a trailer queen, it is what I would call a very nice driver. You may decide to paint it down the road but for now it looks great. The bumpers are in very nice shape on the car, emblems look nice. Some trim as a few small scratches and such, this car has not had an over the top restoration, just been a great relieable car, then again we are not asking $55-60K for it either. The VIN number, and Option tag are correctly attached under the passenger side under the glove box area. There are minor chips and scratches on the car, you notice them when you get closer, hard to capture them all in photos. When people see it outside at shows, they love to look at it, it is a good looking car for sure. The engine runs great, it fires right up. It is a 327, factory Chevrolet Service engine, not sure when it was installed, it has the CE designation on the stamp pad, so it is in not a numbers matching car. It does not burn or blow any oil, it idles nicely. It has an aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock 4v carb on it as well. The engine has very good oil pressure and idles nicely. The transmission is a 4spd, and it shifts nicely. It does not pop out of gear at any speed, has the correct short throw shifter, transmission feels nice and tight. The rear end is in good shape, no noises ujoints feel good. The brakes were redone, new calipers, this is the first year of 4 wheel disc brakes. Mechanically this car is in very good shape, has no driveability issues, very solid and feels great out on the road. The interior is in nice shape, seats and door panels were replaced a while back. Overall the interior is very usable shape, and looks nice. All the gauges are working, tach, temp, oil pressure, speedometer, all work. The clock works as well, and heater works. The radio is aftermarket Corvette specially made and it does work, but the electric antenna is not working and need fixed. The Odometer and trip meter are not working not sure why, everthing is hooked up. About a year ago, it stopped working at the mileage you see today. Not sure why it is not working, probably a cable of some sort, the Tach and Speedometer are working though though. Horn button is not working. The lights upfront work, the passenger side is slower then the drivers side not uncommon. I do have the window visors for the car as well, they are not on it currently. The top is in great shape, no tears, or wear looks very nice. The carpet is in good shape, seat belts are nice as well. The Glass is also in good shape, no cracks or chips. Overall, the interior of the car is in nice shape for a driver occasional show. The wheels and tires are clean, tires have about 95% tread on them. They are BFG Radial T/A's, P235/60/15, wheels are 15x7 American Racing Torque Thurst. I have tried to explain the car in details, all its faults and good things, tried to mention everything so you had a good picture in writting as well in pictures. Overall this is a nice little car that you can drive and enjoy, it is not a show car, just a good weekend cruisein car. If you are looking for a trailer queen, there are plenty around for $50-70K, this is one that you can enjoy and do upgrades as you go.
