This auction is for a used 1988 Mercedes Benz 300TE Wagon that runs great but has a number of issues. I will list as many issues as I can recall, but there could possibly be a few than what I remembered here at time of listing. But this car is priced to sell and is worth double the price for the usable parts alone. What's Great: * The car runs AMAZINGLY well. Starts right up. Runs smooth as ice. Very powerful. No major leaks, just the typical minor stuff * The Transmission (in all forward gears) shifts beautifully, but reverse is temperamental (details below in "Issues") * Suspension is really nice & tight * Interior is generally pretty nice with only a few minor issues * Alignment is great * Car doesn't smoke or burn any significant oil * Exhaust is nice & silent * Car has a nice new JVC CD Stereo included * Title is clear and not salvaged * Have sunk a couple thousand in repairs over the past few years. Issues: * Reverse isn't fully functional. It does work sporadically when cold. Sometimes when warm not so well or at all. * Tires are at about 20-30% * There are a few warning lights on in the dash console * The car has expired tags and will not pass CA Smog which is why it is being sold As Is or preferably out of state where it would probably be easier to smog * Driver's window needs a little love to roll up completely * Power locks aren't 100% accessible through the driver's door. * CA Tags are expired by a few months which is again why the car might make an easier transfer to another state or for parts. * Paint generally looks good but there a few dents (pictured) and one little rust spot If you want to discuss the car's specifics in greater detail please message me your questions with an email address & I'll do my best to answer your questions the best I can.
