In March of 1996 my neighbors purchased this Roadmaster from Scoggin Dickey Buick in Lubbock Tx. He is a now retired professor at Texas Tech University, his wife was a homemaker. For the next 16 years, they drove this car both locally and on trips. Their children had long since left home when they bought the wagon but they had always been Buick owners, so the specially ordered Roadmaster was all they wanted. For the first 14 years or so, the wagon stayed inside their garage but when she was confined to a wheelchair, the wagon's space was taken up by her motorized scooter. I purchased the wagon from them in the Summer of 2012, with @ 89000 miles on it when she could no longer drive. From day one, this car was meticulously mainted and every repair/service/maintenance is documented by a folder full of invoices. They had purchased an extended warranty and were not afraid to use it, from mechanical repairs to squeaks or rattles, it was taken care of. The invoices also guarantee that the mileage is correct. Also, EVERY fuel fill up was documented in a small blue notebook kept in the car. I have owned plenty of cars in my lifetime but none have been maintained to the extent of this one. I will list all major repairs and mileage performed below, I will not list all the services but rest assured, they were all completed. The good stuff: see above, this car is as nice as any 96 model car you will find. No squeaks/rattles/shimmies/noises at all. Mechanically this car needs nothing. Interior is very nice. Tires have less than 8000 miles on them. Hop in this car and drive anywhere! And, it's got PLENTY of power, cold air/hot heat and it drives like a recliner on wheels. Original purchase order, brouchure, 2 sets of keys as well as emergency plastic key and original window sticker. The bad stuff: the clearcoat/paint on hood, roof, a/b pillar and the top of one fender is bad. Needs redone, local Chev dealer estimate was $670. The body has no dents other than a couple as small or smaller than a door ding, car also has a few chips and scratches but nothing major or abnormal for the year of vehicle. The moulding behind drivers side back wheel has a scrape.....see photo, no body damage....just moulding. There is a portion of the carpet that is rubbed thru, located to the left of the brake pedal. Major repairs and dates: tires $377 84,700 pinion seal/water pump/rear air shocks $952 67,000 a/c repair $485 85,000 air pump $348 n/mileage power window $584 79,500 numerous tickets for minor repairs (under $350) and maintenance. Can't think of anything else to add, if you have any questions, ask, car runs and drives as nice as a new one but with a lot more power. Also, forgot to mention the car is missing the sail panel on the passenger side rear door (trim piece that is directly behind window). Have seen these pieces on ebay for @ 30 bucks....was waiting on a green one though.
