Vehicle Detail

1950 International Harvester L-110 NO RESERVE Thank you for viewing my 1950 International Harvester L-110 pickup. These are great trucks, just love the utilitarian look of the old rigs. This truck has spent all of its life here in the Willamete Valley. Bought new at a local International dealer here in Oregon in 1950. In the Same a family who owned a Berry Farm, raising Marion, Black berries. The husband and wife team bought it to be used on their Berry farm in Mt. Angel, Oregon, just about 20 miles from here. The kids learned to drive on this ol' gal, out in the fields, they had lots of good times. They used it up until the Mid 1970's, and then retired it and put it in there Barn. It stayed in the barn up until 2005. It was pulled back out by the son of the family, and he decided to just make her a driver. So he rebuilt the engine, went through the transmission, really got everything working again, rebuilt the brakes, put tires on it, got all the lights working, heater etc, after 7 years of putting a little time into her, this was the final result. He then decided to paint it himself. Not being a restorer by anymeans, the paint is really an amature job, paint is body work are not great. But that was not his plan, just wanted to put some color on it, and make it look better then it did. Overall it is a nice truck, one that you can enjoy and drive, use for your business, maybe have it repainted, or maybe just sand it down, and put it in a flat colored primer like navy blue or great, so it looks a little more straight. The odometer reads 65K, but it currently is not working, so I am not sure the exact miles on it. This again is a No Reserve Auction, meaning that every bid counts, the top bidder at the end gets this truck. The condition of the truck as a whole is in very good shape. For a 1950, it is very solid, all steel. The body work on the truck is not that great, someone can just drive it the way it is, or repaint it down the road. The cab on the truck is in excellent shape, the bottom of the corners of the cab are very good, on side as a couple small bubbles that is it. The floors, and inner door jams are all very clean and solid. The fenders do not show any signs of rust, inside of them they look very good. The bed, is in great shape, no rust, and underneath looks very good. The front fenders, have no rust or repairs either, very clean inside. The hood is in great shape, on the passenger side, there are a couple small bubbles. The tailgate is original, and does have 2 small drill holes in it, for some reason someone decided to hang the lic plate in the middle of the tailgate at some point. Overall the body is in good shape, not rusty, very solid. The glass is in good shape, the split window glass in the rear is a little foggy. The door glass rolls up and down nicely, there is a heavy rub mark on the passenger door glass. The interior, has been revamped a little, nothing special, the gentleman, repainted it inside, cleaned up everything to make it look presentable. It has some aluminum door panels, dash is all redone. The seat is original and could use recovering as you can see in the pictures. The Horn, Heater, Gas Gauge, Amp gauge, Oil Pressure Gauge, Turnsignals in dash, Choke, Throttle Control, all work. The wipers want to work, they start to move but stop, they are vacuum operated. The Odometer and Speedometer are not working. Exterior Lights work, headlights, turnsignals, brake lights, marker lights all work. The fog lamps are not hooked up, but are there and could be hooked up if you wish down the road. Interior for the most part is clean for what it is. Mechanically he went through the truck, brakes were rebuilt, engine rebuilt has excellent oil pressure, transmission gone through. It does not burn or blow any smoke, very clean out the tail pipe. When it is cold, you have to get the choke just right to get it started, but she does fire away, she likes to get warmed up like any old truck. She drives like an old truck, which is kind of fun. I have driven it around, the speed it likes is around 45mph, so great for an old farm rig, you could probably take it faster, but I just like to cruise the old back roads and drive around town. The tires are in great shape, they are only 2 years old, and have 95% tread. Not signs of any oil leaks. The radiator, has a couple small seaps in it, so it might need gone through in the near future, or a few small repairs. There is also a small wooden rail that comes with it around the bed. The 1950 Oregon plate does not come with the truck just put it on for fun, it comes with Current Oregon plates though, and Clean Oregon Title. It is NOT a trailer queen, just a good old truck.
